. ? , <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CZTY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />APRIL 21, 1970 <br />8:00 p.m. <br />Present: President Francis J. 0`Nei11, Councilmen Boehmer, Grady, <br />Hodgins, Limpert, Prokasy, Speedling, West. <br />Also present: Mayor Ralph E. Chxistman, 5ervice Director Charles <br />Watts, Law Airector J. Bruce Kitchea, Acting City Sngineer <br />Michael Karhan, C1erk o£ CounciZ Nora Hi11. <br />After chaaging the word "civil" to "civic" on Page -5-, fourth line, <br />the minutes of April 7th were approved as corrected. <br />Mayor Christman, Mr. Watts and Air. Karhan had no reports. <br />Mrs. Hodgins, Chairman of Pub13.c Health &Welfare, Public Parks Property <br />& Recreation C,nittees, reported the follawinga 1) The Pubiic Parks <br />Property & Recreation Committee aad other members of Council met with <br />the Recreation Conmi.ssion at its meeting on April 14th, and idrs. Hodgins <br />then re<.i the last part of those minutes: <br />"Mr. Bailey chaired this meeting and proceeded wi&. discussion <br />concerning a lease arrangement wiCh Mr. Reed from Community <br />Recreation Company. PZany,questions were asked by Mr. Reed <br />concerning the lease caording. At this point discuseian ceritered <br />on the possibility of the City of North Olmsted entering into <br />an agreement w3.th the Comnunity Recreation Company. ThE folloxv- <br />ing motion was made to Council: -'Be it resolved that the <br />Recreation Gommission wishes to recommend to the City Council <br />that a swimming pool 75' by 155', with a wading pool, diving <br />tank and bath house be constructed in North 41msted Park'. Ttie <br />motion was made by Mr. Corrai, seconded hy Mr. Blakely, and <br />approved unanimousLy." <br />The Public Parks Property & Recreation Committee of Cauncil recoma.ends this <br />to City Council; 2) The Ohio Department of Liquor Control hss sent request <br />from Howard Johnson Company, 24254 Lorain Road, for a D-1 and D-2 pesmit, <br />and inasmuch as there are no objections to this, recommend that the Clerk <br />sign at3d return request to Columbus. <br />Mr. Lin?pert, Chairman of Finance Comtnittee, reported the Finance Committee <br />had met and epproved the paymenfi of $30,000. for inspection aand repa3.ring <br />of sanitary sewer lines that were authorized to be done. Mr. Limpert also <br />reported he had received an note from our Finance Director statiag we wili <br />be preparing the 1971 Budget, and requested Mayor Christman Co natify his <br />Department Heads to look over their budget to present to Counci1. 2his <br />has to be done no later than July 15th and sent to the Cownty uctt later <br />than July 20th; also to keep this in mtnd when vacation time table is <br />discussed. <br />Mr. West, Chairman Design & Platting and Transportation Casmittees, reportad <br />the foll(xfing: 1) The Design & Platting Committee nret an Apxil lith and <br />
