Q'Nei11. <br />Preaent: Pres3.deat Fxancia J. 0'NeiYl, Cowscilmen Boehmer, Grady, <br />Hodgins, Liapert, Prokasp, Speedling, West. <br />Alao Present: Mayor Ralph Christman. Service Directar, Henry f,aater, <br />Law Director J. Bruce Kitchen, Fi.naizce Dirsctor W321iam <br />Gerlach, Citq Engineer, Mi.chael Kaxhar?, Clerk of Cotmcil, <br />Nora Hill. <br />Minutes of meeting of January 191, 1971, were corrected to reaid tise <br />addraae of Mr. Pau1 Gareau as 29940 Lorain Road. Minutes were approved <br />as corrected. <br />Mayor Christman reporud that ordinance cancelling agreement with <br />Centrsl Collection Agencq is one that ahould be paased on emwtrgency <br />tonight so that notice to the Cantral Collectirnn Agm¢y r..an be aode <br />bq Februarq 20, 1971. This is the start of the praces: that will be <br />enacted if and when the Citp of Cleveland does end their reciprocity. <br />Mr. Limpert, Chairmsn Piaance Conmittee, reported this Conamittes and <br />Couaeil as a t,Thole has niet twice since last Cowncil seeting in going <br />over appxapriations £or th+e City aad are makit?g progress; 2) Conmittee <br />di'cussed: legislatiou rsgarding withdrawal from agreeement for Ceatral <br />Collectioa'Agencp aud it is the Finance Comni.ttee's recommdation that <br />this should be done. <br />Mr. Speedling, Chairman Enviranmental Control Comittee, reported this <br />Committee miet on Jauuarp 20, 1971, with ne$atiating toas repr+tsent3ng <br />Service Departneat and heard requests regarding salary benefiCs, etc., <br />for 1971 and same are now betng considered. <br />, Mr. West, Chairman Tranaportation Coma?i.ttee, and Building, Zaniag & <br />Developmeint Comi.ttee, =eported the foliowing: <br />1) Building, Zcming & Develagment Committee has met together with <br /> Citizens Advi$ory Committee on land use. Citizeus Committee has <br /> had two meetings and vi11 meet every Tttursdaq evening. They also <br /> plan a trip to intspect certain parts of the City an Februarq 6th, <br /> by bus. <br />2) Bui2ding, Zoning & Develapment Committee is in receipt of recamenda- <br /> tion on Embaesy rezoning from the Citisens Advisory Ccmmittee, and <br /> their rec dstion is tltat the rezoning n4t be approved. This <br /> Committee was asked far their opinion and, accordimg to their <br /> Secretary, was uaanimous that the Embassy developiment not be rezaned <br /> at the preseat time. <br />3) Building, Zonittg & Devo].ogissnt Comqnittee had another meeting; aa <br /> C.E.I. proposal with Mr. Chiids, Mr. Crabbs, C.E.I. RepYesentatives, <br /> and s representative of the Planning Commissian.
