O'Neill, Covacilmen Boehmer, Giessen, Li~ert, <br />Prokasy, Beringer, Speedling, t~lsst. <br />Also present: Mayor Ralph Christman, Service Director Henry Caster, Asst. <br />Law Director Elmer Cowan, finance Director Willias- Gerlach, City <br />Engineer Michael Karhan, Clerk of Council Nora Rill. <br />Meeting was called to order by President O'Neill at 8:~J0 P.M. <br />Mr. West moved that the Agenda be amended to include Ord. Ito. 72-160, <br />secaeded by Mr. Limpert. Affirmative vote: Boehmer, Giessen, Liapert, <br />Pxokasq, Sar3.nger, Speedling, West. Motion carried. <br />Mayor Chrlstean comasented on the County Mayors ~ Managers Assn. meeti:ag to <br />be held on September 21, 1972, to discuss trick or treat night throu~lxout <br />the County. In view of problems that have bees encountered, such as candy <br />with various objects in same, including dope, questioned Council's r+saction <br />to a move to discourage this night within the City and encourage particpa- <br />tion in Jaycees Halloween party. General discussion was held. It was pointed <br />out it is not a City problem except for the safetq of children at the streets. <br />It is the general feeling that it is up to the parents to recognise the <br />probls~es involved and deckle whether or not their children go out on trick <br />or treat night. <br />Service Director Caster reported the following: 1) Resolution No. 72-160 <br />on agenda covers Walter Rased repaving. t~Tould recossaend if repaving is to <br />be done this year that resolution be passed tonight on emergency. Itas <br />reviewed pleas and they appear to be sufficient to go ahead with bids. <br />Engineering Dept. is in process of determining sole of the quantities, <br />which they will have in a day or two. <br />20 Ordinance No. 72-158 covering repairs to sanitary sewers: Will start <br />on Stoaeybrook to get experience as to interpreting what is shoxa on t.v. <br />and what is believed may have happened underground. <br />Mr. Boehmer, Chairman Public Safety, Health & Welfare Cossoi.ttee, reported <br />Comn3.ttee met and reviewed application of Grants Last Stand, 2636b Lorain <br />Rd., for a D-1 pes~it to sell 3.2 beer. Committee doss not obfect to the <br />approval of this application. <br />Mx. Giessen, Chairman Infra Gover~ental lxelations 6 Legislation Coss~ttee, <br />scheduled a Legislation Coaanittee meeting on Septeaber 25, 1972, $:30 P.M., <br />City Hail. <br />Mr. Lampert, Chairm~t Finaace Coami.ttee, reported the folLaiwir-g: <br />1) Committee met sad revisased A & P Tea Co. sanitary seer charges. Company <br />claimed they had a faulty mater and were overcharged.
