<br />Present: President Francis J. O'Neill, Councilmen Boshmer, Gieaser,
<br />Lampert, Prokasy, Saringer (late), Speedling, West.
<br />Also present: Mayor Ralph Christman, Service Director Remy Caster,
<br />Law Director J. Bruce 1Citchert, Finance Director Willies Gerlach,
<br />City Engineer Michael Karhas, Clerk of Council Nora Hill.
<br />Meeting was called to order by President O'Neill at 8:00 P.M.
<br />Minutes of Council Meeting of Map lb, 1972 and minutes of Special Council
<br />Meeting of May 31, 1972 were approved as read.
<br />Mayor Christman reported on several important meetings scheduled far the
<br />future: 1) Dept. of Natural Rasourcea is holding a hearing for crosmants
<br />on proposed Northeast Ohio Water Dev~elopmsnt Plan, at 2:00 Y.M. on Jug 22,
<br />1972, at Berea City Ralf. This is a plan that will have far r9aathiag
<br />effects on the area and requests as many of Council and. Planing Corassion
<br />that can attend to do so;
<br />2) Bnviros~ntal Impact fleeting on 232 to be held on June. 27, 1972, at
<br />10:00 A.M., at North Olmsted Comanmity Cabin. Hearing to cover aaaitty facets,
<br />i.e. drainage, dust control, seeding., etc.
<br />3) Stearns -Bassett Heating for Couatp centerline, to be held July 10, 1972,
<br />at 2:00 P.M., at North Olmsted Ccmmtiuuity Cabin. This hearing was scheduled
<br />to be held in the County Commissioner's office but through efforts of Mayor
<br />Christman atwl Mayor Roman the Hearing will be held at the Comauanity Cabin.
<br />Mr. Boehmer, Chairman Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee, reported
<br />Committee met on May 23, 1972, and discussed problem of student parking
<br />on Burns, South Porter and Decker Rs~ads. Committee suggested twat r~ttricted
<br />parking hour signs be erected on the east side -the entire ~tth - of
<br />above streets. Signs to read "No Barking between the hours of ~l:00 A.H.
<br />to 4:00 P.M. except Saturdays, Sundays & Aolidaryrs." Also under disoien
<br />were curve signs an North Parser Road, sad Camatittse would like Pattolmaa-
<br />Bierman to look into this problem. Committee also discussed Berkshise Drive
<br />and the 7 - 11 Stare. The West Park Forest Ridge Civic Associ:tivn would
<br />like "no parking" signs, "no truck" signs, and "no left turn" sig~'ga+stilla~d
<br />oa the center strip of Berkshire.
<br />Mr. Giesser, Chairman Iatra Goverm~atal Relations & Lsgislatirna Coara#ttse,
<br />reported Legislation Coaaid.ttee met and was prase°nted with prop~snl for cdble
<br />T.9. franchise for North Olmsted by Ca~-lexicable, Inc. This was dis+rsed
<br />briefly at the meeting and another meeting is scheduled on June 13, 1972,
<br />7:30 P.M., City Hall.
<br />Mr. Speedling, Chairman Transportation Coestittee, scheduled a maetiag a~n
<br />June 13, 1972, 8:00 P.M., Cite Hall, of Transpottatioa~ Committee ae~d Bus
<br />Line Achainistration.
