MiNtIT88 OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED MAY 16, 1972 8:00 P.M. Present: President Fraencis J. O'Nei11, Councilmen Boehmer, Giesler, Limpert, Prokasy, Beringer, Speeclling, West. Also present: Mayor Ralph Chrf.sta~, Service Director Henry Caster, Law Dir~actor J. Bruce Rite, FinaACe Director Williasi Gerlach, City Engineer Michael 1Caxtean, Clerk of Council Nora Aill. Meeting was called to order by President O'Neill at 8:00 P.M. Mr. Prokasp aesehe a motion that the minutes of Council Meeting of May 3, 1972, in connection with changes in the traffic co9atrol map and file, be aa>e~1ed to include a Flasher at Coe School. Motion was seconded by ~#. r. Affirmative vote Boehmer, Giessen, Lirepert, Prokasy, 3arr, l~peadling, West. Motion carried. 'T`raffic light at Claque and McBeth is back in Committee. After amendwant minutes stand approved as read. Mayor Christatian reported the following: 1) proclaim May 20, 1472, as Armeel Forces Dap in recognition of the armed forces service to Country, City sad people as an opportunity to pay tribute and salute the arced forces of our Nation. Mrs. Beringer, Chairmann Environsental Control Committee, reported the following: Committee met an May 9, 197$, with all members in atteetclancs:; also Building Coaa~issioner Guatdy. Mr. Gandy was asked at~ut the delay in air conditioning ordin~ce. Mr. Gandy staged the Law Director now is in receipt of all waterial seed saws should be ready for next Caueeeil Meeting; 2) discussed updating incinerator ordinance. Mr. Gandy explained we do following the National Building Code; however, there are two sections we would like to add to the present ordinance. Will request legislation for same; 3) Open burning was discussed. There is an ordinance on burning which will be strictly enforced; 4) Also discussed passibility of having a demanstratioet of the Eidal shredder in North Olmsted for the western suburbs. tJill look into this passibility. Mr. Boehmer, Chairman Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee, reported this Consaittee met and discussed and reviewed the following: 1) C-2 permit application for Guiseppas Italian Foods, Tnc., 4722 Great Northern Blvd. Comallttee felt this permit should be granted; 2) Applications for C-2 pers3.ts for Consolidated Foods Corp., dba Lswson Milk Company at 25766 Lorain Rd. and 29452 Lorain Rd. Committee felt these permits should be granted; 3) D-5 permit for Richard L. 3to~rs dba Epicures Beverage Shop at 23239 Lorain Rd. Committee felt application for penait should be turned doem because of address and that he should re-apply for this at another time. Mr. Giesler, Chairman Intro Governaretttal Relations & Legislation Coaatittee, scheduled a meeting on May 22, 1972., $:15 p.m. to discuss Tbwaing Code seed at this meeting representatives frost Complexicable will give a presentation on cable T.V. tJould encourage all mewbesrs of Council to be present. .._ ~~a~~~~~~
