Bruce Kitchen, Finance Director William Gorlach, <br />Asst. City gngieer Dsvid Ransbury, Clerk of Council Nora Hill. <br />Absent: Councilma:~ 3ames Prokasy. <br />Meeting was called to order by President O'Neill at 8:00 P.M. <br />Minutes of Council Meeting of April 18, 1972 were approved as read. <br />Mayor Christman reported the following: 1) has been notified that on <br />Tuesday, June 27, 1972, 10:00 A.M., at North Olmsted Community Cabin <br />there will be a Location & Design Public Hearing for the proposed 252 <br />through .North Ole fed and part of Westlake; 2) have been informed by <br />Mr. William Minahall's office, through the national League of Cities <br />and Ohio M~micipal League that the mills revenue sharinp~ plan vnuld <br />provide in the first full year of operation 9467,000. to the City of <br />North Olmsted starting thie year 1472. Have written latter urging <br />support of it and would hope other support caill come from; Coeilmen. <br />Have more information and a will be forwarded to Council. <br />Mrs. Beringer, Chairman Environmental Control Committee, scheduled an <br />Environmental Control Committees on May 9, 1972, 7:30 P.M., City Gall <br />with request that Building Congnisaioner Gundy be in attendance. <br />Mr. Boehmer, Chairman Public Safety, Health & Welfare Cc~,ttee, re~- <br />ported the following: 1} Committee met on April 25, 1972, and dis <br />Ord..No. 71-128 establishing the licensing of private police in the City. <br />The cost of the original license is $2S. and the cost of rem~ewal of see <br />is $25. per year. On Chief Hird's recoaeeendation, Con~aittee felt tie <br />charge for renewal fee was too nEUCh and should be reduced to $S. per year. <br />Wi11 request that Ord. No. 71-128, Section 140.42 Abe aieended to read <br />"Cost of renewal license $S. per year". <br />Mr. Lampert, Chairman Finance Committee, reported the following: 1} <br />Committee met and discussed proposed traffic control. lights, walk lights <br />and signal lights presented to Committee by Safety & Transportation <br />Committees. Committee has approved expenditures for these lights cc~nsfat- <br />ing of traffic light at Butternut & Columbia, walk lights at Great Northern <br />& Lorain, Barton R,c-ad & Lorain, and McBeth 6 Claque. Are in xeceipt of <br />priorities suggested by Mayor and Committee approves of same; 2) called <br />Mr. Nesbitt, who appeared before Council representing Service Departmas~t, <br />and was informed by Mr. Nesbitt that his dealings did not pertain to the <br />negotiations for wages - rather it was working conditions. Mr. Lis~ert <br />advised him there ass no necessity of him meeting with the Fin~ce Committee. <br />This would be a matter that he would take up faith Administration. <br />6 <br />
