O'Neill, Councilmen Tioeharer, Giessen, Limners, Prokasy, Beringer, Spaedling. Absents Councilman John Test. Also present: Mayor Ralph Christman, Service Director Henry Caster, Finance Director t~illiam Gerlach, Clerk of Council Nora Hill. Meeting was called to order by President O'Neill at 8:00 P.M. Minutes of Council Meeting of March 21, 1972 were approved as read. Service Director Caster reported the T.V. ~ Grouting equipment will be delivered about April I4th and caill start working with equipment approximately two c.~eeks thereafter. Area to be started first is northeast section of City. 'drs. Beringer, Chairman Environmental CQcttrol Committee, reported this Committee met on '_Karch 22nd. In attendance Taere Mr. Lampert, Building Com@issicmer Gundy, Service Director Caster and *trs. Beringer. Following; items were discussed: 1) Air Conditioning Ordinance with sir. Gundy and wi11 request legislation pertaining thereto4 2) Updating Tncinerator Ordinance. Copy of a sample ordinance was given to Committee for study. This will be discussed in more detail at another meeting; 3) discussed trying to g;et a program started in regard to people usin¢ plastic bags for garbage. More caill be discussed at a later date; 4) As a member of the Aneawide Aviation Coordinating Committee, Mrs. Beringer has invited 'ir. Tom Jones, Chief of the Tower at Hopkins Airport to si~oc~ a movie immediately following Council Meeting on April 18th. This 20 minute film explains what the F.A.A. is doing in regard to noise abate- ment and air pollution. At the conclusion of the movie Mr. Jones will answer any questions. 24r. Boehmer, Chairman Public Safety, Health & Welfare Coaffitittee, reported this Committee met and discussed application for a C-2 carry out permit, No. 6446257, for Northern Cro~m, Znc., dba Dari-tiatic at 239$7 Lorain Rd, Committee felt that since there e~sas no building on the property the permit should be turned dawn. Legislation ab~ecting to the application is on ar~enda. Mr. Giessen, Chairman Intro Governmental Relations & Legislation Committee, reported he met with Building Commissioner Gundy last caeek on the Building Code at which time Mr. Gundy presented a number of ideas to Mr. Giessen. Mr. Giessen called far a Legislation Committee meeting on April 11, 1972, 7:30 P.M., City Hall. Pir. Lampert, Chairman Finance Committee reported this Comn3,ttee seat sad reviewed request of Service Director for authoriaation to advertise far _,~ various bids. Committee would like to request that legislation be drawn ..~..~
