O'I~sill, Councilmen Boehmer, Giessen, <br />Limpert, Prokasy, Saring~er, Speedling, least. <br />Also present: titagor Ralph. S. Christman, Service Director ry Caster, <br />Law Director 3. Bruce R~.tchen, Finance Director William Gerlach, <br />City Engineer Michael Karhan, Clerk of Council Nora Hill. <br />Meeting was called to order by President O'Neill at 8:00 P.M. <br />Minutes of Council Meeting of January 4, 3972, were approved as read. <br />'..Mayor Christman reported the following: 1) architectural firm of George <br />S. Rider has been selected to revise the Sealteat Building for a sew <br />police station;, 2) Council in receipt of,.~informatian on. Mr. Robert $1liott <br />regardttng',appoint~nt to Pla~tin~;~~,~ission and requests Council approval; <br />3) prior to last Council Meeting Mayon Christman gent to Council a proposed <br />Hospital Policy Position Statement wh'i'ch he respectfully requests Council <br />to adopt by :notion tonight so filet it may be forwarded to the rs of <br />the Metropoli~an Health Planning Corporation; 4) in receipt of information <br />from Mr. Jules Markowits who stated that the North Olmsted Apartment <br />Owners Association is dropping their 1uit~against the City in regard <br />to the expansion of the plant. Information read: "The plaintiff i~as <br />directed ths: undersigned to dismiss the above captioned lawsuit. Tina <br />plaintiff is of the opinion that benefits which will result to lire public <br />from the expansion of the sanitary seurerage treatment plant far outweigh <br />the objections set forth in the law~e~.t relating to the methods and <br />financing the coat of the imprcroeat. I will within the next few days <br />submit a formal journal entry of dismissal of the lawsuit to your Law <br />Director for his approval." <br />Service Director Caster stated he would like to remind the Finaatce Coamittee <br />of his memo to them regarding Bus Driver's Safety Award Dinner and, also, <br />authorisation to bid the labor and materials for the LeBern Road Lift <br />Station. <br />Mrs. Beringer, Chairman Environmental Control Co~mni.ttse re~rted the <br />following: 1} attended a meeting of the Aviation Are~wide Coordinating <br />Committee on January 13th. Cities represented were Bei'tea, i~C-rth Ola~ted, <br />Brookpark, and repra+sentatives Eros Congressman riinshall atui Senator 3axbe's <br />office, also Mr. Tom Jones, Chief of the tower at Hopkins Airport. Mr. Jones pointed out safety is first, then noise abatement. Re <br />informed Commmittee about a glide aloQe of which they have oiere in use and <br />plans for another to be installed.
