O'D1eil1, Councilmen Boehmer, Giesser, Lampert, Prokasy, Beringer, Speedling, t~test. Also present: Mayor Ralph Christman, Service Director Henry Caster, Law Director J. Bruce Ritahen, i~Y.asnce Director William Gerlach, City Engineer Michael Rarhan, Clerk of Council Nora Hi11. Minutes of Council Meeting of A+ecember 21, 1971, were corrected to reflect report given by Mr. Boehmer, Chairman Streets & Drainage Committee. Minutes were then approved as corrected. Mayor Christman reported the Fallowing: 1) Council in receipt of informa- tion regarding reappointment of Mx. Wil~.iam Gilbert to Board of Building Code Appeals; and also information regarding appaint~nt of Mr. Richard Bucher to serve a 5 year term an the Civil Service Commission to replace Mr. John Maisch whose term expired at the end of 1971; 2) No appointment to Planning Commission as yet; 3) Council in receipt of Ord. 72-6 which will change pay periods from eemi- monthly to bi-weekly. Sn order to put this into effect for 1972 request that it be passed on urgency. President O'Neill called an the Chairmen of Council Committees for 1971. Mr. Lampert, Chairman Finance Gammittee, reported this Committee met with Finance Director in connection with Ord. 72-1 which is a temporary appro- priation and Committee will meet again with Finance birector as to ad~uatr~tent of permanent appropriations. Mr. West, Chairman Transportation Comm3.ttee and Building, Zoning & Develop- ment Committee reported the Transportation Committee held a joint Ming on December 3nth with Fairview Park Utilities Cbs~itta:e to discuss the changes in the bus schedule as per agreement with Fairview. Aftex a full review the Utilities Committee were in fu11 agreement with the charnges that have been made. President O'Neill called on the Cha~.rmen of respective Committees of Council for 1972. Mrs. Beringer, Chairs Environmental Control Committee, anAOUnced there will be a meeting of the Aviation Areawide Coordinating Caemmtttee on January 13, 1972, 8:00 P.M., Brookpark City Hall. Everyone welcome. Mr. Giesser, Chairman Intro Governmental Relations & Legislation Comdnittee reported this Committee met and recommends approval of William Gilbert to the Board of Building Gode Appeals and appointment of Richard Bucher to the Civil Service Commission. At this time Mr. Giesser made a motion that Council spprove the reappointawant of Mr. ?dilliam Gilbert to the Board of Building Code Appeals to serve a five year term ending 12-31-76.
