Bruce ~.i.tchen, Finance Director tJilliam Gerlach, Clerk <br />of Council Nora Hill. <br />Meeting was called to order by President O'Neill at 8:00 P.M. <br />Minutes of Council Meeting of May 1, 1973, were approved as read. <br />Mayor Christman reported following: 1) have started negotiatiar~s betaaaaa City <br />and A. I.O. which is representing Service Departa~et e~lo~-ees haves re- <br />ceived proposal from them which is being reviewed and will be continuing n~etings <br />that would appmve the l~ror subai.tting <br />r the widening of Dover Road from <br />the week of May 21, 1973 or May <br />4) have received from St. Brendan Community Life Research Committee a proposal to <br />establish a department for the elderly within the City, and have submitted copies <br />of same to Council this evening, for their study; <br />5) proclaimed June 2, 1973, as All Scout's Dap in recognition of the work that <br />scouting has been doing for the youth in the community and the recognised bet~fits <br />which our youth receives from scouting. On June 2, 1973, in Council (3sa~ezs in <br />City Hall, Administration and Council have been invited to meet their scouting <br />counterparts sad proceed with a tour of the City, Mock Council Meeting, luncheon <br />at Community Cabin and parade after luncheon. Urges everyone who can to take part <br />in this. <br />in these negotiations; <br />2) would like to request a motion of Council <br />a proposal to the County Engineer's office fo <br />Brookpark Extension doom to Lorain Road; <br />3) the 1972 Annual Report will be distributed <br />28, 1973; <br />Mrs. Saringer, Chairm~m Environmental Control Committee, reported Cos~i.ttee <br />on May 9, 1973, reviewed and disused following: 1) phasing nut of present <br />incinerators in coaaercial and multiple dwellings; <br />2) amending Chapter 517.07 re junk cars to include no repairing of automobiles <br />in setback area in residentiAl and retail district. Also unlicensed cars would <br />have to be kept under coyer; <br />3) spraying of mosquitoes for Summer; <br />4) collecting n~twspapers for recycling. would like to see a program started <br />where people save their gapers but instead of City picking them up organization <br />would do so. Therefore having their group benefit. This way it keeps papers <br />out of the garbage collection plus aids some organization. More details have to <br />be worked oa before this will materialise. <br />5) in receipt of letter from Building Cossianer Lundy regarding meeting on <br />May 17, 1973, at City Ralf, Presentation by East Ohio Gas Coapa~dy aattl matting <br />will be for the purpose of requesting amendments to the City of Forth Opted <br />Building Codes to include strict thermal performance (int~-ulation requirerstnts) <br />of all ratdential, instirutlonal, and business buildings hereafter erscte~d. <br />They consider the thermal design and perfaro~ance of the building to be of prise <br />
