Absent: Councilman 1,impert. Heating was called to order by President O'Neill at 8:40 P.M. Minutes of Council Meeting of April 17, 1973, were approval as read. Mayor Christma:a reporter falloWiag: 1) after a year of trying to neg~tiata for the ba].aaca of the Brockpark Bxt+snsion right of way, would Lake to request legislation that would permit the acquisition of this additional right of way; 2) would like to request that Res. No. 73-49 (authorisation to eater into an agreement with County Co~missioners establishing rates for treat~rrt of se~rage in Olssted Township) be passed on emergency for County's action so that it would become effective May 1, 1973. Mrs. Beringer, Chairman Paevirvns~antal Control Co~sdttee, res~a&aled the meeting of the Cuyahoga County City Coartcil Representatives tp Jude 9, 1973, 10:00 A.M., City Aall, because of conflict with Scouts Dar on June 2, 1973. Mr. 3peedling, Chairman Transportatias t.ttae, reported foll~iag: Committee met on April 24, 1973, and s~ravieweci rsqusat for traffic signal at Clague and MacBeth Roads and discussed it with Fi:a-ance Can~tittaea Chairman and it is in Finance Coa~eaittee on a priority list waiting for funds to install the light; 2) request for a flasher light at Claque Park entrance has been referred to Finance Committee; 3) Bus Department salary increases were approved by Transportation Committee at meeting on April 24th sad referred to Fiaancx Cc~asei.ttee; 4) also discussed the need for replacing same 13 buses - same dating back to 1949. liaxt prob]em is where are we going to get the money to da it. The fact has to be faced that some of these buses will have tv be replaced and soon.
