O'Neill, Councilmen Boehmer, Giesler, L~ert, <br />Prokasy, Beringer, Speedling, West. <br />Also present: Mayor Ralph Christman, Service Director Htnry Caster, Les <br />Director J. Bruce Kitchen, Finance Director Willies Gerlach, City <br />Engineer Michael Karhan, Clerk of Council N~nra Rill. <br />Meeting was called to order by President O'Neill at 8:00 P.M. <br />Minutes of Council Meeting of February 5, 1973, were appravtd~as read. <br />Mayor Christman reported the fallowing: 1) received follaring corms ce <br />from Congressman Willies Minshall in reply to letter of cone May+~' h <br />written regarding the fundinp~ on the new Federal Water Pollution Co~ts^ol Bill: <br />"In further reference to your recent inquiry, I am enclosing ht~rtm3th <br />the response received fray the Regional Administrator of the Environ- <br />sental Protection AB+incy. I am sure you will be encour+~wed to cootie <br />that alwost $2 billion has been appraprlated far increasing to 54 or 55 <br />percent prawvoua federal grants for projects which began comst~cuction <br />after June 30, 19&6, but before July 1, 1972. Regulations for allpcatioa <br />are now being praam2gatmd. I 'hope this information will be helpful to you <br />and if I can be of further assistance in any way, pleats do not hesitate <br />to let ere know." <br />Mayor feels City should be receiving good news from E.P.A. swoon. <br />2) On February 22nd will be in Cincinnati along with Service Director and <br />Superintendent of the Treatment Plant to meet with Dr. Dean from the E. P. A. <br />who is revi+eering City's request to receive federal money for a project to use <br />liquid sludge from new Treatment Plant, and hopefully will receive an O.iC. from <br />him. <br />Mrs. Beringer, Chairmen Emrironmental Control Committee, reported Gasifies <br />matting ach+sduled was post~raed due to inclement weather but Cosezittee gill <br />nest on February 21, 1973, at 7:30 P.I~I., City Heil. <br />Mr. Boebmer, Chairmtm Public Safety, health A Welfare Come~ittes, resorted <br />Cosaittee met and discussed the application for a transfer of a D-l, D-2 <br />and D-3 liquor pewrsit from Parki~ray Country Club, Inc. Club e i Patio <br />at 30882 Lorain Rd., to Parkway Country Club, Inc., 30850 Lorain Rd. The <br />Committee has no objections to this application. <br />Mr. Gissstr, Chairmen Intro Governe~wental Relations 6 Leais]stion C~ewewritt~te, <br />reported Legislation Csasittee mat and reviewed rec tios of i~wyor for <br />appointmaet of Mr. Doeuld Asmill to Board of Zoning AppeaU for teas aewdng <br />12/31/74. <br />Mr. Gesstr mc>ntd that Council approve the appointerrstt of Mt. x.,11 <br />to the Beard of Zoai~ 1lpptsls for term ending 12/31/7;. Motion st by <br />Mx. Prakasy. Affismstivt vote: Boel~mer, Gieaaer, Limptrt, Prr, Sas~ngtr, <br />Speedling, Hiest. Motion carded. <br />
