~, <br /> <br /> <br />MINUTE'S OF T~iL MILTING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF 'F'HB CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />JANUARY 2, 1973 <br />Present: President Francis J. O'Neill, Councilttsrn Boehmer, Giesaer, Limpert, <br />Prokasy, Saringer, Speedling, West. <br />Also present: Mayor Ralph Christman, Service Director Henry Caster, Law <br />Director J. Bruce Kitchen, Finance Director William Gerlach, <br />City Engineer Michael Karhan, Clerk of Council Nara Hill. <br />Meeting was called to ordex by President O'Neill at 8:00 P.M. <br />Minutes of Council Meeting of December 19, 1972 were approved as read. <br />Service Director Caster reported the following: 1) sanitary sewer repairs <br />on Staneybrook and Greenwood started on November 8th were completed on <br />December 29th. Repairs were made in front of 22 residences. It was found <br />that storm drainage from same of these houses were faulty and ones observed <br />were repaired. There has been no offical inspection other than periodic <br />check made each day but sewer will be televised over its entire length and <br />sections not replaced will be grouted when weather permits. After completion <br />of work on street sewex City will attempt to locate some of the faulty house <br />service conaections and further reduce the flaw of storm water into the <br />sanitary system in this area; 2) are presently in process of chipping <br />Christmas trees. Chipper is located on west side of Sealtest Bidg., and <br />sign is up stating chips are free. ?Jhether people will take advantage of <br />the chips and take them a`aay in their own containers remains to be seen. <br />Mr. Prokasy discussed with Mr. Boehmer, Chairman Public Safety, Health 6 <br />Welfare Committee, recommendation of that Committee for "no parking" ems <br />on Delmere Dr. between Beaumont Drive and Claque Road and that no <br />was introduced to amend the Traffic Control Map. <br />Mr. Boehmer moved to amend the Traffic Control Map bq erection of "No <br />Parking" signs to be installed on both sides of Delmere Drive from <br />Beaumoat Drive to Claque Road. Motion was seconded by Mr. Prokasy. <br />Affirmative note: Boehmer, 6iesser, Limpert, Prokasy, Saringer, Speedling, <br />West. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Limpert, Chairman Finance Committee, reported on appropriation ordinance <br />on agenda, which is tearporary. Finance Director Gerlach informed Mr. Limpert <br />sufficient information will be available in several weeks to draw up budget <br />for 1973. <br />People addressing Council: <br />Mrs. Gladys Zipp, 29858 Lorain Road, asked if any vacancies are to be filled <br />this year on Boards and Cos~ission and does Council approve the appointments. <br />Mayor Christman stated there are fear appointments to be named; Board of <br />Education to the Recreation Coesaission; also, there i+ill be an appointaent <br />named to the Planning Cammisaion, Zoning Board of Appeals and Building Code <br />of Appeals by next Council Meeting. <br />,~~:,.wr . _ .., <br />. ~- _~, <br />
