O'Neill, Councilmen Giessen, Goggia, Limpart, <br />Beringer, Sharpe, West, Wiiamosky. <br />Also present: Mayor ~talph Christman, LaW Disector Michael Gareau, Paae~ce <br />Director William ~rlach, Service Director t~nry Caster, Safety <br />Director g Garnm, Fit Asst. Engineer J. Howard Childs, <br />Clerk of Council Nora Bill. <br />Meeting was called to order by Fresident O'Neill at 8:00 P.M. <br />The first portion of the meeting was a Public Hearing on the budget for fiscal <br />year beginning 1/1175 -Res. No. 74-77. <br />President O'Neill asked if there were any questions. <br />Mr. Wilamosky questioned two items in asount of $7,2~. and $3Qt~. Free <br />Director Gerlach expLined what itsaes consisted of and how same were allocated. <br />This is an estimated buds+et -total $3,315,974. <br />There being no further questions President O'Neill declared this portion of the <br />meeting closed. <br />Minutes of Council feting of June I8, 1974, were agproved as read. <br />Mayor Christman reported following: 1) Due to recent changes in the State Law <br />it is Haar permissible for voters to register in local City Balls a:ad North Qlmertard <br />will be sat up for this -two deputy registrars ware sworn in today. July 21, 1974 <br />is when starting date for this program will take effect; <br />2) had hoped to have the Berard for Department of ~ourcea for tort but <br />did not get Board completed. Will have names to Council before next Co~acil Msetaw«. <br />Mr. West and Mr. Wilamosky discussed voter registration with the Mayor. <br />Service Director Caster introduced Mr. J. Howard Childs, First Asst. City 8ngineer. <br />Service Director Caster reported following: 1) update on odor abatsawpst facilities <br />for the Treatment Prat -will deliver equipment tomorrow and Monday they will start <br />installation -this is latest word. <br />First Asst. City Engineer Childs reported following: 1) reviewed for Cpumcil status <br />of sanitary sewer repair work: Op May 14th let a contract to Bennlet Cot~strtion <br />Company to repair breaks - a total of 47 breaks have been located in the sanitary <br />sewers in the northeast section of the City. These breaks in the Deerfield <br />Subdivision. As of end of cork day today they had co~lsted r~-air of breaks. <br />More then two-thirds dope with the total project.
