O'Neill, Councilaaan Giessen, Goggin, Liatpert, <br />Beringer, Sharpe, Nest, Wilaawasky. <br />Also present: Mayor Ralph Christman, Lase Director Michael Gareau, Finance <br />Director William Gsrlach, Safety Director Raymond Carnahan, Service <br />Airsctor Henry Caster, Cite Enpginesr J. Aoward Childs, Clerk of <br />Council Nora Hill. <br /> <br />Meeting was called to order by President O'Neill at 8:00 P.M. <br />Minutes of Council Meeting of 3anuary 7, 1975, were approved as read. <br />2} have submitted to Council the follawi~ag names as his recommexrdations for the <br />Charter Review Commission - a requirearent by Charter that evasry five years the <br />Charter be reviewed and to be cosgrosed of nine members to awake rec dations <br />to the Council for changes in the Charter: Mr. Harold Ross -served on Charter <br />Review Coaatl#.ssion in 1970; Mr. ~3$liard Vincent - serve d on original Charter and <br />Charter Review Cosmrission in 170; Mr. Bernard Speedling -worked und+sr Charter <br />as a Councilman; Mr. James Boehm~er -worked under garter as a Councilmsa~s:br.- <br />Joseph Reynolds - Attoxney; Jean C~allace -League of Women Voters; Mr. Ro~IC <br />Criss -served as Mayor's r+apresentative on Citizens Cc~sittee for Schools; Mrs. <br />Sheila Collins; and Mr. Harvaey Denk -President of Chamber of Caearrerce; and requests <br />Council approval. <br />Mayor Christman reported following: 1) received a call from Congressman Ron <br />riottl, 23rd District, who infaramd the Mayor that on Thursday of this week we <br />will be vfficisllq notified that the City of North Olmsted has been named as a <br />bicentennial City; and Ma~por knows that the whole City will look forward to <br />participating in this national celebration in the nett two years; <br />Service Director Caster reported fol2oering: l}had interviews with represezrtatives <br />of consultants to revise the history and operation and coalitions at the t~aaste- <br />water Treatment plant relative to odor problems: ~t Monday with represat~tatives <br />of Finkbeiae~r, Pettis 6 Strout, Ltd., from Toledo; and today tset with reprsiate~t~tatives <br />of Grant, Brundage, Baker & Stauffer, Ltd. The Toledo represes~rtatives will submit <br />an analysis and plea with costs for review. Thinks indication from the firm of <br />Grant, Brundage, Baker & Stauffer of Columbus is that they do not have the tiara or <br />personnel at present to submit a detailessl study for the problems involved. Will <br />wait until furthex communcation is received froth the Toledo Consultants; <br />2) read resolution from the Board of Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating; Agency <br />stating that the project and application of the City for mass transportation <br />capital iarprovements grant has b~sen found to be in accord with area~ride txn~re- <br />hensive, cooperative and continuing transportation planning; also resolwmi that <br />the F.xecutfve Director transaait a certified cagy of said resolution to applicant <br />as well as to appropriate State and Federal agencies. Have clearance of local <br />agency and will await further word from Washington; <br />3) leaf mulch pragrata has progressed faririq satisfactorily and by Spring the <br />mulched leaves will be a~rgilable to all who wish to take them from site on Bradley <br />Rd. <br />,~.~.,.. _. rr . _,_, _. . ; <br />
