Boward Childs, Glark of Council Nora H111. <br />Absent: Councilman Goggin <br />Meeting was called to order by President Lampert at 8:00 P.M. <br />Mrs. Saringer moved to amend the Agenda to include Ord. No. 7b-135, seconded by <br />Mr. Soehmer. Mrs. Saringer eMplained this is in regard to a stop sign to be <br />installed at Brendan Lane and Csdarwood Drive; does have s petition that the <br />Committee requested, containing 3{1 signatures - could have gotten morn but does <br />not feel the necessity as she has close contact with the people in the arse and <br />knows what their desire is. Nd11 Call on Motion: Affirmative vote: Boeher, <br />Saringer, Sharpe, Wilamosky. Negative vote: Beaty - Mr. Beaty explained the <br />proper procedure for this would be to iota the petition over to the CosMalttse far <br />discussion and let the Caas~ittse bring back the legislation on second sss~ing and <br />he does not see the sense of urgency. West. 4 Yeas - 2 Naya - Motion carried. <br />Mr. Wilaawsky moved to amend the Agenda to include Res. No. 76-161, seconded by <br />Mrs. Sharpe. Affirmative vote: Beaty, Boaha~er, Saringer, Sharpe, Wit, Wila~aky. <br />Motion carried. <br />Mrs. Sbarpe moved to amend the Agenda to remove Rea. No. 7b-148 from third reading <br />as the linen has not been received. lotion seconded by Mr. West. Affirmative vote: <br />Beaty, Boeh~r, Saringer, Sharpe, West, Wilamosky. Motion carried. <br />Minutes of Council Meeting of October 19, 1976, were approved as read. <br />Mayor Christman reported: 1) requested Councii.consider passing Res. No. T5-1b1 <br />on emergency basis. This piece of legislation is part of a lawsuit that would free <br />up local govert money and the sooner this is passed the sooner the local <br />government funds will be received. <br />Law Director Gateau reported: 1) Over two years ago we had a civil service case <br />dealing with Richard Baldwin. The case has been pending on an appeal in the Common <br />Pleas Court for sometime and in September the Court ruled in favor of the City an <br />dismissal. Sometime before October 21st Mr. Baldwin has appealed that decision in <br />the Common Pleas Court to the Court of Appeals. That case is being handled by <br />Squires, Sanders & Dempsey; <br />2) sometime between now and neat meeting two requested legal opinions will be <br />forthcoming: one was requested with respect to a traffic light st Decker Rd. and <br />another one deals with the need for competitive bidding at the Sewer Disgosal Plant. <br />President Lampert stated he was requested by Safety Director Carnahan to report to <br />Mr. Beaty that work has been done on the light at the intersection of Butternut <br />Ridge but the results are not knows yet. <br />Mr. Boehmer, Chairman Tatra Governmental Relations & Legis~.ation Committee and <br />Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee, xaported Legislation Committee met and <br />~,,,,,~ <br />
