Also present: Mayor Ralph Christman, Law Director Michael Gateau, Finance Director Wily Gerlach, Safety Directory Raymond Carnahan, Service Director Henry Caster, City ~egineer J. Howard Childs, Clerk of Ccsncil Nora Hill. Absent: Councilman Wilanosky Meeting was called to order by President Lampert at 8:00 P.M. Minutes of Council Meeting of March 16, 1976, were approved as read; Minutes of Special Council Meeting of March 30, 1976, were approved as read. Mayor Christmeta reported: 1) have been informed by the County Auditor of two meetings: on Tuesday, April 13th, at North Olmsted Sigh School Cafetorium, 8:00 P.M., an informational meeting regarding the 1976 real estate reappraisals will be held. This is for the cities of Bay, North Olmsted and Westlake. C}n Saturday, May 29th, at North Ohutad City Sall between the hours of 9:30 A.K. and Noon the Auditor's Staff will be available to help the elderly and disabled fill out and file for Homestead exemptions. 2) May 22nd is All Scout's Dap; 3) sorry to announce that the application for the grant from the Ohio Bicentennial Commission for moving and relocating the settler's plank cabin has been turned down. The project will nave aheracl and there will be an effort Heads to raise all of the funds hogefully through interested people involved or volunteer help; 4) an application for a rohler suing rink in the west end of to~+n has been applied for. Mention this because this is a recreational facility that the Mayor has frequently heard people comaeent is needed; 5) read report submitted by the Clerk/Treasurer of the Cuyahoga County Public Library; b) there will be a Dural Art Contest for two murals at the Recreation Center sponsored by the North Olmieted Art League, North Olmsted Kiwanis Ladies, the Recreation Complex and the Department of Hunan Resources. This is to decorate one wall of the ice hockey area and the entrance area. There will be prises - this is going out to all of the schools in the area; other communities - Fairview Westlake, Bay and Berea awl entry blanks and contest rules are available at the Department of Hunan Resources, the Library or the Recreation Center. Finance Director Gerlach reported: 1) Recreation Center personnel are preparing a first-quarter report for operations for year 1976 and should be ready in a week or two. Law Director Gateau reported: 1) with respect to the lawsuit dealing with the Sewage Disposal Plant which is Worker vs. City of North Olsti~ted, etal, had a pretrial on that natter last week and era awaiting for the Judge to rule on the feasibility of going for~rard as a class action. The plaintiffs are pushing to have the case heard sometime in June but Law Director anticipates if the case goes to trial it will probably be in the Fall; 2) are in process of preparing a motion and briefs in case of Maynard vs. City of North Olmsted etal, which deals with a bail bondsman coming from another state
