Howard Childs, Clerk of Ccsncil <br />Nora Hill. <br />Absent: Councilman Wilanosky <br />Meeting was called to order by President Lampert at 8:00 P.M. <br />Minutes of Council Meeting of March 16, 1976, were approved as read; Minutes <br />of Special Council Meeting of March 30, 1976, were approved as read. <br />Mayor Christmeta reported: 1) have been informed by the County Auditor of two <br />meetings: on Tuesday, April 13th, at North Olmsted Sigh School Cafetorium, <br />8:00 P.M., an informational meeting regarding the 1976 real estate reappraisals <br />will be held. This is for the cities of Bay, North Olmsted and Westlake. C}n <br />Saturday, May 29th, at North Ohutad City Sall between the hours of 9:30 A.K. and <br />Noon the Auditor's Staff will be available to help the elderly and disabled fill <br />out and file for Homestead exemptions. <br />2) May 22nd is All Scout's Dap; <br />3) sorry to announce that the application for the grant from the Ohio Bicentennial <br />Commission for moving and relocating the settler's plank cabin has been turned down. <br />The project will nave aheracl and there will be an effort Heads to raise all of the <br />funds hogefully through interested people involved or volunteer help; <br />4) an application for a rohler suing rink in the west end of to~+n has been <br />applied for. Mention this because this is a recreational facility that the Mayor <br />has frequently heard people comaeent is needed; <br />5) read report submitted by the Clerk/Treasurer of the Cuyahoga County Public <br />Library; <br />b) there will be a Dural Art Contest for two murals at the Recreation Center <br />sponsored by the North Olmieted Art League, North Olmsted Kiwanis Ladies, the <br />Recreation Complex and the Department of Hunan Resources. This is to decorate <br />one wall of the ice hockey area and the entrance area. There will be prises - <br />this is going out to all of the schools in the area; other communities - Fairview <br />Westlake, Bay and Berea awl entry blanks and contest rules are available at the <br />Department of Hunan Resources, the Library or the Recreation Center. <br />Finance Director Gerlach reported: 1) Recreation Center personnel are preparing <br />a first-quarter report for operations for year 1976 and should be ready in a week <br />or two. <br />Law Director Gateau reported: 1) with respect to the lawsuit dealing with the <br />Sewage Disposal Plant which is Worker vs. City of North Olsti~ted, etal, had a <br />pretrial on that natter last week and era awaiting for the Judge to rule on the <br />feasibility of going for~rard as a class action. The plaintiffs are pushing to <br />have the case heard sometime in June but Law Director anticipates if the case <br />goes to trial it will probably be in the Fall; <br />2) are in process of preparing a motion and briefs in case of Maynard vs. City <br />of North Olmsted etal, which deals with a bail bondsman coming from another state <br />
