Absent: Councilman Beringer Meeting was called to order by President Limpart at 8:00 P.M. Minutes of Council Meeting of May 16, 1978, were approved as read; Minutes of Special Council feting of May 22, 1978, were approved as read. Mayor Swiatyniowski reported: 1) today appointed City Engineer xurawski to be on the planning team for the Airport ttoias Control and Land use Compatibility Co~3.ttee; 2) presented a proclamation to Mrs. Sheila Howard, honoring Mrs. Howard for her support, dedications help in the Youth Diversion Program. Coc~cil and Admiaiatra- tion recognized Mrs. Hoasetrd. Service Director Corrigan reported: 1) relative to the function of the Service Department waste pickup crave - had a meeting with the Service Departm~tt crags following the Ms~morial Day holiday, and outlined for the men certaixn aspects of their duties and responsibilities as are viewed by the Service Departmennt Msnag~smeat, Superintendent Auger and various foremen. Pursuant to that request a msetin~ was held with representatives of Bravni~tg-Farris, and Administrative Assist~at Mary Sla~ea, Service Yard Superintendent Tom A~ser and Foreman Robert Prickett. 5ervics Director Corrigan was not present due to another commitment.. As a result of that meeting We have cost figures that r+mtge from $3.010 tv $3.50 per household par month. Servos Director Corrigan detailed the nature of the operation, average routes par day, etc. Feels that it serifs an on•-~g study and the Service Dept.
