<br />? A communicatian was read from F1oyd Browne and Associates in regards to the
<br />engineering for Test Hole Borings. The charge would be payroll cost plus 50%s
<br />; plus travel and subsistence expense of one man. In addition there will be
<br />the expense of locating the borings and ground elevation and the cost of the '
<br />j surveys,

<br />?. Ordinance No, 2501 was introduced by Mr. Neubauer. An Ordinance authorizing
<br />i
<br />the Safety-Sex?vice Director to employ an Engineer to supervise the making
<br />? of test borings along the route of the proposed sanitary sewers. It was
<br />; moved and secanded that the statutory rule be suspended and the Qrda.nance be ,
<br />? read imr.eciiately the second and third times and put on its passage. The
<br />affirmative vote on said motion was as follows: Baker, Crider., Decker.9

<br />A motion was made b Ds. Neubauer, seconded by 14r. Kramer, that the Council
<br />aAprove the advertising`sign of "Echo Springs" on the left side of five

<br />Mr. Decker, Chairman of the Safety Cor,imi.ttee, stated they had a meeti.ng
<br />= June 17, 1957.:The matter of parking on Lorain and Porter Roads had
<br />been studied for many weeks. Parking between It and 6 P.M. on Friday '
<br />eVening seems to be the main problen. Two suggestions w*ere made. First -
<br />;- Prohibit parking in front of the Post Office on account of ma.iling letters. -
<br />a Second -"No Parking" fifty feet tiaest af Dewey Road,$ tiihere truckers park their
<br />° trizcks wh'ile going into the Cottage Reataurant. The State law says "Na Parking"
<br />' "ithin fifty feEt of arW road. The matter of a parking lot has aZso been
<br />studied.
<br />A motion was m.ade by 14r. Decker, seconded by Mr. 12acDonald that the
<br />Sa-fety-Service Director erect "11o Farking" signs on:the south side of .
<br />Lorain Road fron the Post Office drive to a point`east of the Library, and "
<br />a"No Parking" sign on the north side of Zorain` Road from Dezrcy Road to

<br />Pleubauer reported that the Illuminating Comparjy had installed nir.e
<br />? street lights on Ranchview Avenue as of 14ay 27, 1957.
