<br />lng and combustible units or ether ingredients, in such proportions, quantities or
<br />packing that an ignition by fire, by friction, by concussion, by percussion, or by
<br />detonator of any part of the compound or mixture may cause such a sudden generation
<br />of highly heated gases that the resultant gaseous pressures are capable ef producing
<br />destructive effects on contiguous objects, or of destroying life or limb.
<br />
<br /> For the purpose cf this ordinance manufactured articles shall not be held to be
<br />explosives when the individual units contain explosives in such llm~ted quantities,
<br />of such nature, or in such packing, that it is impossible to procure a simultaneous
<br />fire, by friction, by concussion, by percussion, or by detonator, such as fixed ammuni-
<br />tion for small arms, firecrackers, safety fuse matches, et cetera. -.
<br />
<br /> Flammable Liquid. Any liquid which has a flash point of ?0° Fahrenheit, or less~
<br />as determined by a tabliabue or equivalent closed cup test,
<br />
<br /> Gross Weight. The weight of a vehicle plus the weight of 'any load thereon.
<br />
<br /> Intersectiono The area embraced within the prolongation of the lateral boundary
<br />lines of two or more highways which join one another.
<br />
<br /> Laned Highway. A highway the roadway of which is divided into three or more
<br />clearly marked lanes for vehicular traffic.

<br /> Motorcycle.

<br />Every motor vehicle having a saddle for the use of the operator and
<br />on not more than three wheels in contact with the ground but ex-

<br /> Motor Vehicle. Every vehicle propelled or drawn by power other than muscular
<br />power or power collected from overhead electric trolley wires, except road rollers,
<br />traction engines, power shovels, power cranes and other equipment used in construction
<br />work and not designed for or employed in general highway transportation, hole digging
<br />machinery, well drilling machinery, ditch digging machinery, farm machinery, threshing
<br />machinery, hay baling machinery, and agricultural tractors and machinery used in the
<br />production of horticultural, florticultural, agricuitural and vegetable products.
<br />
<br /> Park or Parking. The standing of a vehicle, whether occupied or not, upon a
<br />street, otherwisethan temporarily for the purpose of and while actually engaged in
<br />loading or unloading, or in obedience to traffic regulations or traffic Signs or sig-
<br />nals, or involvin~ stopping of the vehicle by reason of causes beyond the control of
<br />the operator of the vehicle.
<br />
<br /> Parking Meter. Any mechanical device or meter not inconsistent with this ordin-
<br />ance placed or erected for the regulation of parking by authority of this ordinance.
<br />
<br />Each parking meter installed shall indicate by proper legend the legal perking time
<br />established by the city and when operated shall at all times indicate the balance of
<br />legal parking time, and at the expiration of such period shall indicate illegal or
<br />overtime parking.
<br />
<br /> Parking Meter Space. Any space within a parking meter zone, adjacent to a park-
<br />ing meter and which is duly designated for the parking of a single vehicle by lines
<br />painted or otherwise durably merked on the curb or on the surface of the street adja-
<br />cent to or adjoining the parking meters.
<br />
<br /> Parking Meter Zone. Any restricted street upon which parking meters are installed
<br />and in operation.
<br />
<br />Pedestrian. Any natural person afoot.
<br />
<br />Person. Every natural person, firm, co-partnership, association or corporation.
<br />
<br /> Pole Trailer. Every trailer or semi-trailer attached to the towing vehicle by
<br />means cf a reach, or pole, or by heing boomed or otherv~se secured to the towin~
<br />vehicle and ordinarily used for transporting long or irregular shaped loads such as
<br />poles, pipes, or structural members capable, generally, of sustaining themselves as
<br />beams between the supporting connectionst
