All gates or doors opening through such enclosure Shall be of self-closing and self-latching construction and shall be designed to permit locking and shall be kept locked when the pool is not in actual use, or is left un- attended. These requirements shall apply to both new and existing Outdoor swimming pools having a maximum depth over eigh- teen (15) inches, except that ~mers of eiisisting outdoor pools shall be given a reasonable period, not to exceed one (1) 'year from the effective date of t~is section in which to comply. No person in possession of land within the city, either as o~mer~ purchase~, lessee, tenant or a licensees upon which is situated a swimming pool having a maximum depth over eighteen (18) inches shall fail to provide and maintain such fence or wall as herein provided. Upon the approval by both the ¢o~missioner of Health and Commissioner of Building Inspection, modification may be made in individual cases, upon a showing of good cause with respect to the height, nature or location of the fences gates or latches, or the necessity therefor, pro- vided the protection a~ sought hereunder is not reduced thereby. Upon the approval by both the Commissioner o£ Health and Commissioner of Building Inspection, they may permit other protective devices or structures to be used so long as the degree of protection afforded by the sub- stitute devices or structures is not less than the pro- tection afforded by the walls fences gate and latch de- scribed herein. PUBLIC SWII~IING POOLS 329.124 Plans To Be Submitted To The Division o1 Building Inspection. Pla~s, specifications and pertinent explanatory data sub- mitted in connection with an application for a permit to construct a public s~imming pool or any alterations ad- dition, remodeling or other improvement thereto shall comply with the following requlreaents and shall include the following plans and iniormation as ~*ell as such otl~r data as may reasonably be requested by the Co~issioner of Health or Commissioner of Building Inspection: (a) Plans shall be dra~.m to a scale of not less than one-elgh~h (1/Sth) inch per foot, indicatin~ all materials and method of construction and indicating all di~ensions~ includin[ the lengths width and depth of the pool and width of the pool deck; (b) A profile plan sho~ing the same information; (c) A plot plan showin~ position of pool in relation to buildings and lot lines; (d) A cross-section o£ scum gutters, ski~ra~rs, or overfflow troughs where used. (e) Pipe diagrams showing size of all pipes, inlets, outlets, makeup water lines, vacuum lines, waste and discharge lines, circulation and other piping;. (f) The pool equlpsent room layout, showin~ filters, their location, pumps, chlorinators, chemical feeders, flow meter gauges, sight glass, strainers, hair and llnt interceptors, dimensions of filter room, its locations floor drains sumps and other pertinent information;
