- 2 - <br /> <br />(d) <br /> <br />All vacations shall be granted and taken at such times as <br />shall be mutually agreeable to the employee and his division <br />head insofar as possible. Where they are unable to argree, <br />the decision of the division head shall govern. The division <br />head may permit the vacation to be taken on other than con- <br />secutive days. Each division head shall annually prepare a <br />vacation schedule so devised as to cause minimum interference <br />with normal operation of the division. In the event of con- <br />flict between employees in regard to vacation time, seniority <br />shall control. <br /> <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />149.08 VACATIONS <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />Ail full-time, permanent hourly employees and all annual' <br />salaried employees, including members of the police and fire, <br />shall be entitled to a vacation with pay after regular time <br />service based on the following table. <br /> <br />Regular Time Service (Weeks) <br /> <br />Vacation(Working Days) <br /> <br />6 1 <br />11 2 <br />16 3 <br />~1 4 <br />26 5 <br />31. 6 <br />36 7 <br />41. 8 <br />46 9 <br />52 10 <br /> <br />In applying the above table there shall be included in the <br />term "regular time service" all regular time worked; regular <br />time not worked but compensated by reason of the guaranteed <br />work week, holiday, vacation or sick leave provisions hereof, <br />and regular time neither worked nor directly compensated by <br />the City but for which an employee received workmen's com- <br />pensation because of injury sustained in the course of <br />employment by the City. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />Vacation time shall be earned in one calendar year and taken <br />in a subsequent calendar year and shall be prorated in <br />accordance with the table set forth in subsection (a) above, <br />provided, however: <br /> <br />(i) <br /> <br />Members of the Division of Fire who have completed ten <br />(10) years of service by June 1 of any given year shall <br />be entitled to three (3) weeks' vacation in that year <br />and all subsequent years of employment. <br /> <br />(ii) Members of the Division of Police who have completed <br /> ten (10) years of service by June 1 of any given year <br /> shall be entitled to three (3) weeks' vacation in that <br /> year and all subsequent years of employment, provided <br /> further that all full-time permanent members of said <br /> division who have completed fifteen (15) years of service <br /> by June 1 of any given year shall be entitled to four <br /> weeks' vacation in that year and all subsequent years <br /> of employment. <br /> <br /> <br />
