-3- <br /> <br />(d) <br /> <br />(e) <br /> <br />(iii) <br /> <br />All other full-time permanent employees of the City <br />who have completed ten (10) years of service by June <br />1 of any given year shall be entitled to three (3) <br />weeks vacation in' that year and all subsequent years <br />of employment, provided further that all full-time <br />permanent employees who have completed fifteen (15) <br />years of service by June 1 of any given year shall <br />be entitled to four (4) weeks' vacation in that <br />year and all subsequent years of employment. <br /> <br />Vacation pay of all employees shall be~mputed on the basis <br />of compensation schedules, including regular time as to <br />hourly employees, in effect at the time vacations are taken. <br /> <br />No employee may accumulate in excess of six weeks (thirty <br />working days) of vacation time, excluding all vacation time <br />earned in the year in which the accumulated vacation is <br />taken. Vacation time acquired but not used in excess of the <br />amount stated herein shall be regarded as surrendered by the <br />employee. Vacation time not taken is not to be regarded <br />as compensable in money, provided, however, an employee may <br />be compensated for vacation time earned upon the termination <br />of his employment for any reason other than discharge for <br />cause, conditioned upon at least one week's notice of such <br />termination by such employee. <br /> <br />All vacations shall be granted and taken at such times as shall <br />be mutually agreeable to the employee and his division head, <br />insofar as possible. Where they are unable to agree, the <br />decision of the division head shall govern. The division <br />head may permit the vacation to be taken in other than con- <br />secutive days.. Each division head shall annually prepare a <br />vacation schedule so devised as to cause minimum interference <br />with normal operation of the division. In the event of <br />conflict between employees in regard to vacation time, seniority <br />shall control. <br /> <br />Section 2. That Section 149.09 of the Administrative Code of the Codified <br />Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, now reading as follows: <br /> <br />149.09 VACATIONS FOR PERMANENT EMPLOYEES; PAYMENT IN EVENT OF DEATH' <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />Ail full-time permanent employees, holding positions concerning <br />which the compensation and conditions of employment are fixed <br />primarily by Council, shall be entitled to an annual vacation <br />in accordance with and subject to the provisions of Sections <br />149.08 (b), (c) and (d). (Ord. 55-67. Passed 8-22-67.) <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />No employee shall be entitled to more than one vacation in any <br />calendar year. Each employee whose compensation is fixed on <br />an annual basis may cumulate vacation time not in excess of six <br />weeks to be taken in any one calendar year, subject, otherwise, <br />to the provisions of Section 149.08. Vacation pay of all <br />employees shall, be computed on the basis of compensation <br />schedules, including regular time as to hourly employees, in <br />effect at the time vacations are taken.
