Section 16. That Section 525.11 of the General Offenses Code of the Codified <br />Ordinances of the City of Lakewood now reading aS,.. follows: <br /> <br /> 525.11 <br />'(a) <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br /> SOLICITING OR RECEIVING IMPROPER COMPENSATION. <br />No public servant shall knowingly do any of the following: <br />(1) Solicit or receive compensation other than that allowed by law to perform <br /> his official duties; <br /> Solicit or receive greater feet or costs than are allowed by law to perform <br /> his official duties; ~ <br />(3) Receive any fee or reward,' or any part of thc compensation of a public servant <br /> over whom he has supervisory authority, in consideration of appointing such <br /> public servant to public employment. <br /> <br /> (b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of soliciting or receiving improper compen- <br />sation, a misdemeanor of the first degree. <br /> <br /> (c) A public servant who is convicted of violation of this section is disqualifi~d from <br />holding any public office, employment or position of trust in this State or Municipality for <br />a period of seven years from the date of conviction. OMPI';NSATION. <br />(a) No public servant shall knowingly do either of the folh)wing: <br /> (1) <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />Solicit or receive any compensation or fcc other than as allowed ~by law, k) <br />perform his official duties; ~ <br />Solicit or receive greater fees or costs than arc allowed by law to perform his <br />official duties. <br /> <br /> (Is) No public servant for his own personal usc and no person for his own pet~'sonal use <br />or for the personal use of a put)lie servant or party official, shall solicit or accept anything <br />of value in consideration of either of the following: <br /> <br /> (1) Appointing or scenting, maintaining or renewing the api×)intmcnt of any <br /> l)crson to any put)lie office, employment or agency; <br /> (2) Preferring or maintaining the status of any public employee with respect to <br /> his compensation' duties, placement, location, promotion or other material <br /> aspects of his employment. <br /> <br /> (e) 'No person for the benefit of a political party or a campaign committee, as defined <br />in Ohio R.C: 3517,01 shall coerce any contribution, as definc~l in Ohio I/.C. 3517.01, in <br />consideration of either of the followh~g: <br /> (1) Appointing or securing, maintainb~g or renewing the appointment of any <br /> person to any public office, employment or agency;.. <br /> (2) Preferring or maintaining the status of, any public employee with res~)ect to <br /> his comper, sati0n, duties, placement, location, promotion or other material <br /> aspects of his employment. <br /> <br />' (d) Whoever violates this section is guilty of soliciting improper compensation, a <br />misdemeanor of thc first degree. <br /> <br />(e) A public servm~t who is convictc~t of a violation of this section is disqualified <br />from holdh~g any public office, employn~cnt or position of trust in this State for a period <br />of seven years from thc date of ,:onvtctlon. ' <br /> <br /> (f) Noth:!ng tn subsections (b) or (c) hereof shall prohibit any person from voluntarily <br />contributing to such public servant, party official, political party, campaign committee or <br />political committee.
