Section 16. That Section 525.11 of the General Offenses Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood now reading aS,.. follows: 525.11 '(a) (2) SOLICITING OR RECEIVING IMPROPER COMPENSATION. No public servant shall knowingly do any of the following: (1) Solicit or receive compensation other than that allowed by law to perform his official duties; Solicit or receive greater feet or costs than are allowed by law to perform his official duties; ~ (3) Receive any fee or reward,' or any part of thc compensation of a public servant over whom he has supervisory authority, in consideration of appointing such public servant to public employment. (b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of soliciting or receiving improper compen- sation, a misdemeanor of the first degree. (c) A public servant who is convicted of violation of this section is disqualifi~d from holding any public office, employment or position of trust in this State or Municipality for a period of seven years from the date of conviction. (a) No public servant shall knowingly do either of the folh)wing: (1) (2) Solicit or receive any compensation or fcc other than as allowed ~by law, k) perform his official duties; ~ Solicit or receive greater fees or costs than arc allowed by law to perform his official duties. (Is) No public servant for his own personal usc and no person for his own pet~'sonal use or for the personal use of a put)lie servant or party official, shall solicit or accept anything of value in consideration of either of the following: (1) Appointing or scenting, maintaining or renewing the api×)intmcnt of any l)crson to any put)lie office, employment or agency; (2) Preferring or maintaining the status of any public employee with respect to his compensation' duties, placement, location, promotion or other material aspects of his employment. (e) 'No person for the benefit of a political party or a campaign committee, as defined in Ohio R.C: 3517,01 shall coerce any contribution, as definc~l in Ohio I/.C. 3517.01, in consideration of either of the followh~g: (1) Appointing or securing, maintainb~g or renewing the appointment of any person to any public office, employment or agency;.. (2) Preferring or maintaining the status of, any public employee with res~)ect to his comper, sati0n, duties, placement, location, promotion or other material aspects of his employment. ' (d) Whoever violates this section is guilty of soliciting improper compensation, a misdemeanor of thc first degree. (e) A public servm~t who is convictc~t of a violation of this section is disqualified from holdh~g any public office, employn~cnt or position of trust in this State for a period of seven years from thc date of ,:onvtctlon. ' (f) Noth:!ng tn subsections (b) or (c) hereof shall prohibit any person from voluntarily contributing to such public servant, party official, political party, campaign committee or political committee.
