-7- <br /> <br />1329.10 <br /> <br />(al The types of signs permitted as regulated in the MI and <br /> M2 Districts shall be permitted in the M3 District. <br /> <br />(b) A mortuary may disPlay one wall or ground identification <br /> sign not excee6i~:g {36) square feet. <br /> <br />SIGNS: OFFICE B1, RETAIL B2, AND BUSINESS-RESIDENTIAL BR DISTRICTS. <br /> <br />Accessory signs in the Retail B2 and Business-Residential BR <br />Districts shall be designed, erected, altered, moved and maintained, <br />in whole or in part, in accordance with these regulations. <br /> <br />(al <br /> <br />Functional Types Permitted. Business signs, development <br />signs of a temporary nature, directional signs, identification <br />signs, informational signs, nameplates, political signs, <br />real estate signs, 'temporary signs, and bulletin boards on <br />the lots of public or semi-public institutions. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />Structural Types Permitted. Canopy, ground, pole, wall, <br />and window signs. Projecting signs ~ay be permitted if <br />approved by the Board of Building Standards. <br /> <br />{c) Maximum Area and Number Permitted. <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />Maximum Sign Face Area. The maximum sign face <br />area of all pen~anent signs permitted for each <br />separate use occupying a building or unit of a <br />building shall be related to tile frontage of the <br />building or unit thereof, as determined by the <br />following formula: <br /> <br />Maximum sign face area: (W x 1.5) <br />square feet, except that the total in <br />all cases shall not exceed 120 square <br />feet. <br /> <br />Tile elements of such formula being defined as <br />follows: <br /> <br />"Maximum sign face area" means the total <br />area of one surface of a pen~anent sign <br />as defined in Section 1329.04(a). "W" <br />means the frontage of a building as <br />defined in Section 1329.04(b). ' <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />Business Signs. Within permanent business signs <br />the area devoted to the advertising of brand names <br />of specific products or services shall be limited <br />to (20) percent of the maximum sign face area. <br />Business signs shall not be located beyond the <br />build~ng face; functional types of signs 'permitted <br />in front of the building face shall be limited' <br />to bulletin boards, directional signs, identification <br />signsj and informational signs. <br /> <br />(3) Bulletin Board. One bulletin board not exceeding <br /> -~i square feet in area or (8) feet ill height <br /> may be located on the premise of a public . <br /> charitable, or religious imstitution, but not <br /> less than (15) feet from a street right-of-way <br /> )i~)e; indirec~ illumination shall be permitted.' <br /> <br /> <br />
