-8- <br /> <br />(4) <br /> <br />Canopy Sign. One canopy sign may be attached to <br />the soffit or facia of a canopy over a walkway <br />of each business use, provided: The total area <br />of one face of the sign does not exceed {5) <br />squ~re feet, the vertical dimension of the sign <br />does .not exceed {12) in~ches, and the lowest <br />stru,ctu~ral member is not less than {8) feet <br />above the sidewalk grade. <br /> <br />(5) Develo_~men6 Sign. One temporary development sign <br /> ~ exceeding (50) square feet in area and {10) <br /> feet i~ height shall be pennitted on the lot <br /> upon which a building is under construction. <br /> Signs shall be removed on the issuance of a final <br /> occupancy permit or one year after 'the period is. <br /> issued whichever date occurs first. <br />(6} Directional Sign. Two directional signs each not <br /> exceeding '(~-)---' feet n area <br /> square i shall be permitted <br /> on any building or lot, but not less than (5) feet <br /> from any lot or street right-of-way line. <br /> <br />(7) <br /> <br />Ground Sign. One ground sign not to exceed (40) <br />square feet in area and {10) feet in height shall <br />be permitted. Only information of an identification <br />nature shall be pen))itted on ground signs. <br /> <br />(8) <br /> <br />Informational Sign. One informational ground sign <br />not exceeding (6)-square feet in sign face area <br />may be permitted on any lot, but not less than <br />(5) feet fr~)~ any lot or street right-of-way line. <br /> <br />(9) <br /> <br />Nameplates. One nameplate, not exceeding one square <br />foot in area for each store dr office unit in the <br />building, but not exceeding a total of (8) name- <br />plates per building, shall be permitted. <br /> <br />{10) Pole Sign. One pole sign may be located within a <br /> required yard of a business lot in the B2 and BR <br /> Districts if approved by the Board of Building <br /> Standards. Each face of the pole sign shall not <br /> exceed (40) square feet in area; the top of the <br /> sign shall not exceed {22} feet in height above <br /> sidewalk grade; the bottom of the sf~n face shall <br /> be not less than (10) feet above sidewalk grade and <br /> not less than (16) feet above grade where vehicular <br /> access is required; and no part of .the sign shall <br /> project over the sidewalk. Only information of an <br /> identification nature shall be pemitted on pole signs <br /> <br />(11) Real Estate Sig~!. One temporary double face free <br /> standing or wall sign advertising the sale, lease <br /> or rental of the premises Or part of the premises <br /> on whidh the signs are displayed, not exceeding <br /> (5) square feet, shall be permitted. <br /> <br />(12) Projecting Sign~. .May be permitted in the Office B1, <br /> Reran) B2, and Business-Residential DR Districts in <br /> cases where innovative design is demonstrated and <br /> where no potential safety hazard to motorists or <br /> pedestrians is created, subject to review and <br /> approval by the Board of Building Standards. <br /> <br /> <br />
