RDH 1581.O2(b) Installation of Sidings. (Amended) <br /> <br />(b) Wood board siding and pri'me hard board siding. All wood <br />siding and prime hard wood siding shall comply with the specific. <br />grading requirements of the association recognized in the trade <br />as covering that particular species or material. The grade shall <br />be suitable for its intended use. The siding shall be kiln-dried <br />or otherwise seasoned to a moisture content of approximately 12 <br />per cent. Wood board bevel siding, or-hardwood siding, lapped or ~o <br />rabbeted, shall not have more exposure, to the weather than tabulated <br /> <br />below: <br />Siding Size (in.) <br /> <br />Max. Without sheathing, nails <br />shall penetrate studs Or blocking at least 1½ inches. Nails shall <br />be corrosion-resistant. Butt joints of siding shall occur over studs. <br />Joints Tn adjacent pieces shall be staggered. <br /> <br />Drop, shiplap, rustic or novelty siding shall have a minimum '' ' <br />thickness of 3/4 inch and a maximum width of 8 inches. For all <br />wood siding over sheathing, the stud spacing may be 24 inches unless <br />the sheathing or interior finish requires less spacing. Where wood <br />siding or prime hard board siding is applied without sheathing, <br />the spacing of studs shall be not more than 16 inches. Vertical <br />siding shall be not less than 3/4-inch thick nor more than 12 <br />inches wide. Vertical boards, that do not have interlapping joints, <br />shall have batten strips. Nails shall penetrate at least 1 inch <br />into studs or blocking. <br /> <br />RDH 1591.02 Qualified Installers (Repealed) <br /> <br />Section 1591.02 is hereby repealed.~ <br /> <br /> RDH 1593.05(b) Materials-Quality and Weight iAmended) ' <br /> <br /> Specifications for material"s. Standard specifications for m~'~erials <br />for plumbing installation are listed in Table 93A and the same may be amended <br />from time to time. Products conforming to any specification listed for given <br />materials shall be ~pproved. <br /> <br /> RDH 1593.53[D) Water-Distribution Piping, Tubing & Fittings (~mended) <br /> (d) Copper water tube underground shall be type "K" except when <br /> underground on the interior of building when the minimum shall be <br /> type "L," or heavier; above ground copper water tube shall be type <br /> "M,' or heavier. Lead water pipe above ground shall be at least <br /> equal ito "strong" quality. Below ground, lead piping shall be <br /> "extra strong" quality or better. <br /> <br />-5- <br /> <br /> <br />
