(aa) <br /> <br />(o) Natural Outlet - Any outlet into a watercourse; pond, ditch, <br /> lake or other body of surface or ground water. ] <br /> of real estate not being a part of I <br />(~) <br /> Parcel <br /> of <br /> Land <br /> Any <br /> piece <br /> <br /> any regular subdivision or addition but containing one or more <br /> connections to the wastewater disposal system. <br /> <br />(q) Person - The State or any agency or institution thereof, any <br /> municipality, governmental subdivision, public or private <br /> corporation, individual, partnership, or other entity, in- <br /> cluding, but not limited to, association, commission or any <br /> interstate body, and including any officer or governmental <br /> subdivision or public or private corporation, or other entity. <br /> DH - The logarithm of the reciprocal of the concentration of <br /> (r) __ <br /> hydrogen ions in .grams per liter of solution. <br /> <br /> (s) Premises 'Any piece of real estate having oneor more sewers <br /> whickmay be connected either individually or through a common <br /> sewer and directly or indirectly to the wastewater disposal <br /> system. <br /> <br /> (t) Pretreatment - The process of reducing the amount of pollutants, <br /> eliminating pollutants, or altering the nature of pollutant <br /> properties in wastewater to a less h~rmful state prior to or in <br /> lieu of discharging or otherwise introducing such pollutants <br /> inzo the City's wastewater disposal system. The reduction, <br /> elimination, or alteration may be obtained hy physical,.chemical <br /> or biological processes, process changes or other means, except <br /> as prohibited by law. <br /> (u) Properly Schredded Garbaze - The wastes from the preparation, <br /> cooking and dispensing of food that have been shredded to such <br /> a degree that all particles will he carried freeIy, under the <br /> flow conditions normally prevailing in municipa~ sewers, with <br /> no particle greater than 1/2 inch in any dimension. <br /> <br /> (v) Residential User - A user discharging only sanitary wastewater. <br /> (w) Sanitary Sewer - A sewer which carries wastewater and to which <br /> storm, surface, and ground waters are not intentionally admitted. <br /> (x) Sewer - A pipe or conduit for carrying wastewater. <br /> (y) Shall - is mandatory: May - is Permissive. <br /> (z) Significant Industrial User - A~y user of the City's waste- <br /> water disposal system which (i) has a disposal flow of 50,000 <br /> gallons or more perjaverage work day, or (ii) has a flow greater <br /> than 5 percent of the flow in the City's wastewater disposal <br /> system, or (iii) has in its wastes toxic pollutants as defined <br /> pursuant to Ohio Revised Code 6111.030 and 6111.030 (r) or <br /> (iv) has a significant impact, either singly or in combination <br /> wi~h other contributing industries, on the wastewater disposal <br /> system, the quality of sludge, the system's effluen~ quality, <br /> or air emissions generated by the system. <br /> Slu~ - Shall mean any discharge of wa~er, wastewater or in- <br /> dustrial waste which in concentration of any given constituent <br /> or in quantity of flow exceeds for any period of duration longer <br /> than fifteen (15) minutes more than five (5) times the average <br /> twenty-four (24) hour concentration or flows during a normal <br /> operation. <br /> -3- <br /> <br /> <br />
