REGULAR MEETING OF THE LAKEWOOD CITY COUNCIL HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBER MUNICIPAL BUILDING - 12650 DETROIT AVE. MONDAY, JANUARY 3, 1983 7:30 p.m. Meeting called to order at 7:30 p.m. by President McBride Present: CounCilmen Thomas Brown, William Chinnock, Edward Graham, John P. Gallagher, Thomas McBride, John Salmon, Trudy Wendling Also Present: Mayor Sinagra, Law Dir. Blackie, City Eng. Connors, Fire Chief Cook, Bldg. Comm. Geist, Comm. Dev. Dir. Jakeway, Public Works Dir. Kleinweber, Planning Dir. Lane, Police Chief Petro, Acting Youth Coord. Muth, Personnel Adm. Wintermeyer. Motion by Mr. Brown, seconded by Mr. Salmon, to approve the Minutes of the Regular Meeting held on December 20, 1982 as mailed. Motion adopted. All members voting yea. Committee of the Whol. e Report regarding 3 a.m. to 6 a.m. Parking Ban Program Motion by Mr. Salmon, seconded by Mr. Brown, to receive and file. Motion adopted. All members voting yea. Committee of the Whole report regarding RITA/Tenant Filing Motion by Mr. Gallagher, seconded by Mr. Salmon, to receive,and file and refer this report to the Law Director for drafting. Motion adopted. Six members voting yea. Mr. Chinnock voting nay. Committee of the Whole Oral Report regarding Zoning Code Ordinance 77-82 Motion by Mr. Chinnock, seconded by Mr. Brown, to receive and file. Motion adopted. All members voting yea. ORDINANCE 77-82 - An Ordinance to approve, adopt and enact a new Zoning Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood and to repeal ordinances in conflict therewith. (2nd reading 10-18-82) Motion by Mr. Chinnock, seconded by Mr. Salmon, to adopt Ordinance 77-82. Motion by Mr. Brown, seconded by Mr. Salmon, to amend Ordinance 77-82 to change the word "Building Official" to "Building Commissioner" throughout the Chapter. Motion adopted. All members voting yea. Motion by Mr. Salmon, seconded by Mr. Brown, to change the words "Apartment House" to "Apartment Building" and to add the definition: "Apartment Building means a building arranged, intended or designed to contain three or more dwelling units, each for exclusive use of one family" in Section 1101.10. Motion adopted. All members voting yea.
