Within one year of the effective date of this <br />subsection, the provisions of this subsection shall apply to all <br />such buildings and other structures or l~)rtic~s thereof which are <br />in existence at the effective date of this subsection. <br />Every lm/blic hall and stairway in structures containing not more <br />than four dwelling units per flo~r and in occupiable structures <br />may be supplied with c~nveniently located light switches <br />controlling an adequate light system which may be turned on when <br />n~ed, instead of full-time lighting. <br /> <br /> Section 6. That S~ion 1305.24 of the Building Code of the <br />Ordinances r~w reading as follows: <br /> <br />O~dified <br /> <br /> 1305.24 ~ [A~/T EGRESS. <br /> Every dwelling unit shall have safe unobstructed means of egress leading <br />to safe ar~ open space at ground level. <br /> <br />shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> 1305.24 MFANSOF~GRESS. <br /> Every dwelling unit and occupiable structure shall have safe <br />unobstructed means of egress leading to safe and openspace at ground level. <br /> <br /> Section 7. That Section 1305.26 of the Building Code of the Godified <br />Ordinances now read~ngas follows:, <br /> <br /> 1305.26 ~L~BISH STORAGE AND DISPOSAL FACILITIES. <br /> Every occupant of a dwelling or dwelling unit shall establish and main- <br />tain rubbish storage facilities adequate to o0ntain all of the r,,~ish stored <br />on the premises and resulting frcm the use of occupancy of the dwelling or <br />dwelling unit. Rubbish stored outdoors shall be contained in fly-tight, <br />rodent-proof, nonflammable ar~ reasonable waterproof containers. ~ubbish <br />stored inside of buildings shall be stored in nonflammable containers. No <br />persc~ shall place or keep rubbish elsewhere than in such containers. Every <br />occupant of a dwelling or dwelling unit shall dispose of all of his z~,~ish <br />in a clean and sanitary manner by placing it in containers as hereinabove set <br />forth. <br /> <br />shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> 1305.26 RUBBISH STORAGE AND DISPOSAL FACLIA~!F$. <br /> Every occupant of a dwelling, dwelling unit or occupiable structure <br />shall establish and maintain rubbish storage facilities adequate to contain <br />all of the ru_~b_ish stored on the premises and resulting fr(~ the use or <br />occupancy of the building or structure.
