(7) Ground Sign. One ground sign not <br />to exceed forty (40) square feet in area <br />and ten (10) feet in height shall be <br />permitted. Omly information of a <br />identification nature shall be permitted <br />on ground signs. <br /> <br />(8) Informational Sign. One <br />informational ground sign not exceeding <br />six (6) square feet in sign face area <br />may be permitted on any lot, but not <br />less than five (5) feet from any lot or <br />street right-of-way line. <br /> <br />(9) N~meplates. One nameplate, not <br />exceeding one (1) square foot in area <br />for each store or office unit in the <br />building, but not exceeding a total of <br />eight (8) nameplates per building, shall <br />be permitted. <br /> <br />(10) Pole Sign. One pole sign may be <br />located within a required yard of a <br />business lot in the B2 and BR Districts <br />if approved by the Board of Building <br />Standards. Each face of the pole sign <br />shall not exceed forty (40) square feet <br />in the area; the top of the sign shall <br />not exceed twenty-two (22) feet in <br />height above sidewalk grade; the bottom <br />of the sign face shall be not less than <br />ten (10) feet above sidewalk grade and <br />not less than sixteen (t6) feet above <br />grade where vehicular access is <br />required; and no part of the sign shall <br />project over the sidewalk. Only <br />information of an identification nature <br />shall be permitted on pole signs. <br /> <br />(11) Real Estate Sign. One temporary <br />double face free standing or wall sign <br />advertising the sale, lease or rental of <br />the premises or part of the premises on <br />which the signs are.displayed, not <br />exceeding five (5) square feet, shall be <br />permitted. <br /> <br />(12) Pro~ecting Signs. May be permitted <br />in the Office Bi, Retail B2, and <br />Business-Office Residential BR Districts <br />in cases where innovative design is <br />demonstrated and where no potential <br />safety hazard to motorists or <br />pedestrians is created, subject to <br /> <br />-13- <br /> <br /> <br />
