The total area <br />of one face of the sign does not exceed <br />five (5) square feet, the vertical <br />dimension of the sign does not exceed <br />twelve (12) inches, and the lowest <br />structural member is not less than eight <br />(8) feet above the sidewalk grade. <br /> <br />(4) Development Sign. One temporary <br />development sign not exceeding fifty <br />(50) square feet in area and ten (10) <br />feet in height shall be permitted on the <br />lot upon which a building is under <br />construction. Signs shall be removed on <br />the issuance of a final occupancy permit <br />or one year after the period is issued, <br />whichever date occurs first. <br /> <br />(5) Directional Sign. Two directional <br />signs each not exceeding two (2) square <br />feet in area shall be permitted on any <br />building or lot, but not less than five <br />(5) feet from any lot or street right- <br />of-way line. <br /> <br />(6) Ground Sign. One ground sign not <br />to exceed forty (40) square feet in area <br />and the top of the sign shall not exceed <br />ten (10) feet in height above the <br />sidewalk grade. <br /> <br />(7) Informational Sign~. One <br />informational ground sign not exceeding <br />six (6) square feet in sign face area <br />may be permitted on any lot, but not <br />less than five (5) feet from any lot or <br />street right-of-way line. <br /> <br />(8) Nameplates. One nameplate, not <br />exceeding one (1) square foot in area <br />for each store or office unit in the <br />building, but not exceeding a total of <br />eight (8) nameplates per building, shall <br />be permitted. <br /> <br />(9) Pole $i9n. One pole sign may be located within a <br />required yard of a business lot in the B-1 and B-R <br />Districts if approved by the Board of Building <br />Standards.
