code, or in any other cases~where the imposition of mass <br /> limitations is deemed appropriate to the City. <br /> <br /> Section 7. That existing Section 913.06 (1) of the Codified <br />Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, now reading as follows: <br /> <br />913.06 MUNICIPAL SEWERS USE RESTRICTIONS. <br /> <br /> 1) Ail measurements, tests and analysis of the <br />characteristics of waters and wastes to which reference is <br />made in this chapter shall be determined in accordance with <br />the latest edition of "Standard Methods for the Examination <br />of Water and Wastewater", published by the American Public <br />Health Association, and shall be determined at the control' <br />manhole provided, or upon suitable samples taken at such <br />control manhole. In the event that no special manhole has <br />been required, the control manhole shall be considered to be <br />the nearest downstream manhole in the public sewer to the <br />point at which the building sewer is connected. Sampling <br />shall be carried out by customarily accepted methods to <br />reflect the effect by constituents upon the wastewater <br />disposal system and to determine the existence of hazards to <br />life, limb and property. The particular analysis involved <br />shall determine whether a twenty-four hour compoSite of all <br />outfalls of a premise is appropriate or whether a grab sample <br />or samples should be taken. Normally, but not always, BOD <br />and suspended solids analysis .are obtained from twenty-four <br />hour composites of all outfalls whereas pH's are determined <br />from periodic grab samples. <br /> <br />shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />913.06 MUNICIPAL SEWERS USE RESTRICTIONS. <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />"Ail measurements, tests, monitoring.and analysis of the <br />characteristics of water and waste to which reference is <br />made in the ordinance shall conform to procedures <br />established in 40CFR136. <br /> <br /> Section 8. That existing Section 913.06 (m) of the Codified <br />Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, now reading as follows: <br /> <br />913.06 MUNICIPAL SEWERS USE RESTRICTIONS. <br /> <br /> m) No statement contained in this chapter shall be <br />construed as preventing any special agreement or arrangement <br />between the City and any industrial concern whereby an <br />industrial waste of'unusual strength or character may be <br />accepted by the City for treatment, subject to a payment <br />therefore, by the industrial concern, provided that any such <br />discharges do not violate prohibitions concerning specific <br />substances contained in subsections (a) through (1) hereof. <br /> <br />shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />913.06 MUNICIPAL SEWERS USE RESTRICTIONS. <br /> <br />m) <br /> <br /> No statement contained in this chapter shall be <br /> construed as preventing, any special agreement or <br /> arrangement between the City and any industrial <br /> concern whereby an industrial waste of unusual <br /> strength or character may be accepted by the City <br />~for treatment, subject to a payment therefore, by <br /> the industrial concern, provided that any such <br /> discharges do not violate prohibitions concerning <br /> specific substances contained in Sections 391.06 <br /> (a) through (1) above and does not violate federal <br /> or state standards including categorical standards. <br /> <br /> SectiOn 9. That existing Section 913.06 of the Codified <br />Ordinances of the City of Lakewood be amended by the enactment of <br />new Section 913~06 (n) to read as follows. <br /> <br />913.06 MUNICIPAL SEWERS USE RESTRICTIONS. <br /> <br /> <br />
