~ARGARET (Carabel to Woodward) <br /> <br />Councilman George commented that truck traffic uses this street as <br />a cut-thru. He recommended a $3.00 reduction. <br /> <br />Mr. Jarvela, 2196 Northland {side yard assessment) also stated that <br />Margaret is used as a cut-thru by commercial trucks. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Harbarger that the assessment be $6.50. <br />J. Gallagher. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Second: Mr. <br /> <br />GRABER <br /> <br />Mr. John Dunn, 1422 and Mr. Cresante, 1426, both spoke to the problems <br />they have had over the years with large commercial trucks using Graber <br />as the connection between Detroit and Riverside. They appreciate what <br />the City has done to alleviate this problem, with the placement of <br />barriers and signage, but believe that a reduction is in order because <br />of the past history. <br /> <br />Mayor Harbarger stated that the City is trying to solve this problem <br />of cut-thru traffic and will continue to try and find a solution. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Harbarger that the assessment be $6.50. Second: Mr. <br />J. Gallagher. Motipn carried. <br /> <br />WASCANA (Madison to Lakewood Hts.) <br /> <br />Mr. Prock; 2190, Mr. McIntosh: 2016, Mr. Prusak; 2220, all spoke about <br />the heavy traffic during rush hours with people trying to avoid the <br />traffic and traffic lights on Bunts. They also mentioned that when <br />Bunts is closed for any reason, such as for resurfacing, the buses <br />are routed onto Wascana. Mr. Prusak asked for police attention for <br />speeding vehicles. <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. J. Gallagher that the assessment be $7.50. Second: Mayor <br />Harbarger. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mayor Harbarger stated that he would ask Police Chief Biscotti to <br />schedule the undercover car on the street to curtail the speeding <br />problem. <br /> <br />GRANGER <br /> <br />.Many residents spoke. All agreed that they should have a reduced <br />assessment as Granger is used by many motorists as a direct line to <br />1-90 from Rocky River, Clifton Blvd. and Lake Avenue. Also that five <br />other streets are accessed from Granger. <br /> <br /> <br />
