~ARGARET (Carabel to Woodward) Councilman George commented that truck traffic uses this street as a cut-thru. He recommended a $3.00 reduction. Mr. Jarvela, 2196 Northland {side yard assessment) also stated that Margaret is used as a cut-thru by commercial trucks. Motion by Mayor Harbarger that the assessment be $6.50. J. Gallagher. Motion carried. Second: Mr. GRABER Mr. John Dunn, 1422 and Mr. Cresante, 1426, both spoke to the problems they have had over the years with large commercial trucks using Graber as the connection between Detroit and Riverside. They appreciate what the City has done to alleviate this problem, with the placement of barriers and signage, but believe that a reduction is in order because of the past history. Mayor Harbarger stated that the City is trying to solve this problem of cut-thru traffic and will continue to try and find a solution. Motion by Mayor Harbarger that the assessment be $6.50. Second: Mr. J. Gallagher. Motipn carried. WASCANA (Madison to Lakewood Hts.) Mr. Prock; 2190, Mr. McIntosh: 2016, Mr. Prusak; 2220, all spoke about the heavy traffic during rush hours with people trying to avoid the traffic and traffic lights on Bunts. They also mentioned that when Bunts is closed for any reason, such as for resurfacing, the buses are routed onto Wascana. Mr. Prusak asked for police attention for speeding vehicles. Motion by Mr. J. Gallagher that the assessment be $7.50. Second: Mayor Harbarger. Motion carried. Mayor Harbarger stated that he would ask Police Chief Biscotti to schedule the undercover car on the street to curtail the speeding problem. GRANGER .Many residents spoke. All agreed that they should have a reduced assessment as Granger is used by many motorists as a direct line to 1-90 from Rocky River, Clifton Blvd. and Lake Avenue. Also that five other streets are accessed from Granger.
