b. The GP, ANTEE will, in all solicitations or advertisements for employees placed <br />by or on behalf of the GRANTEE, state that all qualified applicants will receivo <br />consideration for emPloyment without regard to.race, color, religion, national origin' <br />age (40-70 years), handicap, ancestry, or sex. <br /> <br /> c. No personnel of the GP~RTEE who exercises any functions or responsibilities in <br />connection with the review or approval of the undertaking or carrying out of any such <br />work, shall prior to the completion of said work, voluntarily acquire any personal <br />interest, direct or indirect, which is incompatible or in conflict with the discharge <br />or fulfillment of his functions or responsibilities with respect to the carrying out of <br />said work. Any such person, who prior to the execution of the Agreement acquires any <br />such incompatible or conflicting personal interest, or after the effective date of this <br />Agreement voluntarily or involuntarily acquires any such incompatible or conflicting <br />personal interest, shall immediately disclose his inter~st to the DEPARTM~Cf in <br />writing. Thereafter, he shall not participate in any action affecting the 'work under <br />this Agreement, unless the DEPARTKENT shall determine that in the light of the personal <br />interest disclosed, his participation in any such action would not be contrary to the <br />public interest. <br /> <br /> d[ The G~ANTEE will attempt to purchase services from minority-owned field servic <br />agencies and other companies whenever possible. The GRAFFEE will attempt to procure <br />necessary materials from minority-owned businesses whenever possible. <br /> <br /> e. The GRANTEE agrees that he will 'fully cooperate with the State Equal <br />Opportunity Coordinator, with any official or agency of the State or Federal Government <br />which seeks to eliminate unlawful employment discrimination, and with all other. State <br />and Federal efforts to assure equal employment practices under this contract, and said <br />GRANTEE shall comply promptly with all requests and directions from the State of Ohio <br />or any of its officials and agencies in this regard, both before and during <br />performance. <br /> <br /> f. Pursuant to federal guidelines issued under the authority of Section 504 of the <br />Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Public Law 93-112, as amended, and Department of Interior <br />Regulations as set out in 43 CFR 17, Subpart B, the GRANTEE agrees that no qualified <br />handicapped person shall, on the basis of handicap, be excluded from participation in, <br />be denied the benefits of, or otherwise be subjected to discrimination under any <br />program or activity funded through this Agreement. <br /> <br />AGREEMENT: PAGE 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
