1306.55 SEPARATIONS BETWEEN DWELLING UNITS AND FIRE PROTECTION OF <br /> HABITABLE ROOMS. <br /> Apartments, suites of rooms or dwelling units in buildings and parts of buildings of multi- <br />family dwellings shall be separated from each other and from adjacent rooms or spaces with <br />wails or partitions and floor and ceiling construction have a tim-resistance rating of not less than <br />one hour, and ail openings in such walls or partitions shall be protected with self.closing Class <br />C opening protectives or other approved self-closing doors having a fire-resistance rating of not <br />less than 3/4 hour unless approved otherwise by the Building Code. <br /> <br /> 1306.56 MAINTENANCE OF CONSTRUCTION AND BUILDING SITES. <br /> No construction or demolition contractor shall fail to provide on site refuse receptacles, <br />bulk containers or detachable units for loose debds, paper, building material waste, scrap <br />building materials and other refuse produced by those working on the site. Ail such materials <br />shall be containerized by the end of each day and the site shall be kept in reasonably clean and <br />garbage free condition: The number of refuse receptacles, containers, bulk containers or <br />detachable units shall be determined by the size of the job. Dirt, mud, construction materials or <br />the debris deposited upon any public or private property as a result of the construction or <br />demolition shall be immediately removed by the contractor. The construction site shall be kept <br />dean and ordedy at all times. <br /> <br /> 1306.57 GRADING OR FILLING. <br /> When a lot or plot is graded to a higher or lower finished grade level than the natural <br />grade on an adjacent property, the owner of the graded plot shall provide suitable retaining <br />walls or other approved construction on his own property to maintain the existing natural grade <br />of such adjacent property. <br /> <br /> 1306.58 DRAINAGE. <br /> Whenever the surface of a lot or plot is excavated, filled, or graded, positive drainage shall <br />be provided so that a nuisance will not be created. Catch basins or properly connected <br />underdrains shall be installed or other approved provisions made to preclude the accumulation <br />of surface water. The existing natural drainage of the ground area surrounding the lot or plot <br />shall not be impeded. ~ <br /> <br /> 1306.59 FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS AND GASES. <br /> No person shall permit the use or storage of a liquefied petroleum gas (LP-gas) cylinder in <br />excess of sixteen (16) ounces within any dwelling or occupiable structure. Exception: storage <br />of a liquefied petroleum gas (LP-gas) cylinder, not exceeding the limits as set forth in Chapter <br />36 of the Ohio Fire~ Code, is permitted in detached garages and storage sheds. <br /> <br /> 1306.60 EXTERIOR ELECTRIC AND FUEL BURNING COOKING DEVICES. <br /> No electdc or fuel burning cooking appliance or device shall be permitted to be operated <br />upon any porch, balcony, patio deck, roof or similar structure when such structure is located <br />above the first floor level or if the first floor level is enclosed or covered in whole or part by <br />awnings, canopies, arbors, roofs and similar roof structures. <br /> <br /> 1306.61 STOP ORDERS. <br /> Upon notice from the Building Commissioner that work on any building or structure is <br />being done contrary to the provisions of this Code or other applicable Codes of the City or in a <br />dangerous or unsafe manner, such work shall be immediately stopped. Such notice shall be in <br />writing and shall be given to the owner of the property or to his agent or to the person doing the <br />work, and shall state the conditions under which work may be resumed; provided, however, that <br />in instances where immediate action is deemed necessary for public safety or in the public <br />interest, the Building Commissioner may require that work be stopped upon verbal order <br />pending the issuance of a written order. <br /> <br /> 1306.62 PERMITS REQUIRED. <br /> No person, firm or corporation shall erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, or <br />demolish a building or other structure, or install any equipment or other appurtenances the <br />installation of which is regulated by this Code or other Ordinances of the City or cause the same <br /> <br />18 <br /> <br /> <br />
