II. Hospital Obligation.s. <br /> <br />A. Training_. <br /> <br />,. <br /> <br />Hospital shall make available ACLS training and ACLS recertification <br />training to all City employed paramedics and Paramedic Fire Fighters on <br />an annual basis at no cost to the City. <br />Hospital shall make available BLS training and BLS recertification <br />training to City firefighters who shall be EMT-B at no cost to the City. <br />Hospital shall permit City paramedics to periodically rotate through its <br />emergency department, as volunteers in accordance with Hospital policies <br />and procedures, to assess the continuum of care of transported patients. <br />Such framing shall be provided at no costs to City. <br /> <br />B. Ci_ty Emergency Medical Services ("EMS") Commissio .n. <br /> <br />Hospital agrees that the .Clinical Nurse Manager, Emergency Department, <br />or desi~nee shall be a member of the EMS Commission. <br />Hospital shall make available an emergency physician to be a member of <br />the EMS Commission. <br /> <br />C. Quality Monitoring. <br /> <br />Hospital shall assist City in the development of medical protocols through <br />the participation in "We Share". <br />Hospital shall assist City in the development of quality indicators and <br />review of quality outcomes. : <br />Hospital shall assist in quality monitoring of the individual vehicles' <br />invemory and stocking of supplies. Such assistance shall be in compliance <br />with all federal and state statutes and regulations. <br />Quarterly meetings will be held between the City of Lakewood and <br />Lakewood Hospital to review the performance of the system, and to foster <br />new ideas and services for the Division of Fire. <br /> <br />D. We Share Participation. <br /> <br />Lakewood Hospital shall continue to be a member of"We Share". <br />Lakewood Hospital shall continue to participate in the provision of <br />education to "We Share" participants. <br /> <br />E. Services. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />Medical Care Supplies/Medications. In providing medical control <br />services for the City of Lakewood, Lakewood Hospital will replace <br />disposable patient care supplies and advanced life support medications <br />("Medical Care Supplies").
