Personal leave, sick leave and <br />sick leave without pay shall be counted as days absent. <br /> <br /> 149.12 StCK LEAVE FOR ANNUAL SALARZED EMPLOYEES AND <br /> CERTAZN HOURLY EMPLOYEES. <br /> (al Effective 3anuary 1, 1983, each annual salaried employee including <br />Foreman Class A, but excluding members of the Division of Police and Fire, and each <br />full-time permanent hourly employee who is not COvered by a collective bargaining <br />agreement with the City, who has completed his probationary period, shall be entitled <br />to sick leave on account of illness or injury, incapacitating him from work, without loss <br />of regular pay,' vacation, senlority, or other rights or pnvileges, in an amount not to <br />exceed the following: <br /> <br /> Credited Days as Earned Days Per Month Total <br />Years of Service of .January 1 as of February 1 Sick Days <br /> 0 to 2 3 I 14 <br /> 3 to 12 4-1/2 1-1/2 21 <br /> 13 or more 8. 2 30 <br /> <br /> Sick leave accrued prior to .~anuary 1, 1983, shall be 'taken into account in <br />computing the sick leave accumulation and conversion benefits of such employee <br />pursuant to Section 149.111. <br /> In calculating sick leave hereunder, allowance shall be made for all time spent in <br />the employment of the City, whether before or after the effective date of this section. <br /> <br /> (bi Sick leave benefits provided for herein shall be subject to and governed by <br />Section 149.11(a)(2), (bi.and (cl. <br /> <br /> 149.13 Cl'rY'S [ttGHTS RESERVED, <br /> Nothing herein contained shall be construed to create any vested right. The City <br />hereby expressly reserves all rights and powers to amend, alter, repeal or revoke any <br />provision of this chapter and any interest, privilege, benefit or right Created thereby. <br /> <br />149.14 SALARY DEDUCTIONS FOR HOSPITALIZATION INSURANCE. <br />The Director of Finance pursuant to Oh!~, R.C. 1739.15, is hereby authorized to <br />deduct from the salaries or v~ages of any municipal employee subscribing to any <br />nonprofit hospital service plan, incorporated and operating under the provisions of Oh!o_ <br />R.C. 1739.01 et seq. such amount monthly as may .be necessary for such employee s <br />subscdp, tion payment to such plan and as shall have been stipulated by such employee <br />in a wrmtten authorization filed with the Director of Finance requesting such deductions. <br />The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make remittances of the aggregate <br />amount of sums so authorized to be deducted to the corporation operating such <br />nonprofit hospita service plan during the month following the date of such deductions. <br /> <br />149.15 HOSPI'rALIZAT/ON COVERAGE FOR EMPLOYEES. <br />(a) For the purposes of this section, "City employees" means employees of <br />Lakewood Municipal Court and the City of Lakewood who have completed sixty days of <br />cOntinuous service, but excludes members of Council, employees of Lakewood Hospital, <br />temporary employees, seasonal employees, school guards, public works inspectors, and <br />members of the Ovil Service Commission. <br />(b) The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to Pay from City funds the <br />actual premium .cost of hospitalization coverage for each 'member of the Division of <br />Polic~ and the Division of Fire who is enrolled in the Ci's hospitalization Dian currentlv <br />in effect, ty .... <br /> <br /> (c) The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to pay from City funds the <br />,actual premium rate of hospitalization coverage, as established pursuant to a collective <br />bargaining agreement or by Council as the case may be, for al/other City employees, <br />payable monthly or semi-annually at the discretion of the Director of Finance by <br />payment of such premium to the insurer, or in cash based on actual premium rate, <br />where the employee is not enrolled in the City hospitalization plan, but in no event shall <br />such cash payment exceed seventy dollars and twenty-six cents ($70.26) per month.
