1309.08 SURFACING AND RESURFACING. <br /> (a) Surfacing or resurfacing of driveways or parking lots excluding liquid sealants: <br /> (1) For the first 1,000 square feet of aggregate surface area or part thereof, <br /> minimum fee: $30.00 Fee <br /> (2) For each additional 500 square feet of aggregate surface area, or part thereof: <br /> $15.00 Fee <br /> 1309.09 COMBINATION PERMIT FEE. <br /> Notwithstanding any other provisions of this chapter, a homeowner who performs the <br /> work and who occupies the premises wherein the work is to be performed may obtain a <br /> combination permit to cover all or any alterations, remodeling, plumbing, electrical or <br /> HVAC work, provided that the value of such work shall not exceed five thousand dollars <br /> ($5,000) in total. $50.00 Fee <br /> 1309.10 ADDITIONAL INSPECTION FEES. <br /> (a) Whenever an inspection has been requested and the work is found to be incomplete <br /> or in need of corrections, there shall be charged a fee in the amount of seventy- - <br /> five dollars ($75.00) for each subsequent reinspection. <br /> (b) Whenever a special inspection, not a routine inspection of work being done under a <br /> permit, is requested, there shall be charged an inspection fee in the amount of <br /> seventy-five dollars ($75.00). <br /> (c) Subsection (a) and (b) hereof shall not be applicable to home owner permits. <br /> 1309.11 OCCUPANCY PERMITS. <br /> For any inspections made for the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy, there shall be <br /> charged a fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) for residential and seventy-five dollars ($75.00) <br /> for commercial. <br /> 1309.12 REFUSAL TO ISSUE PERMIT; APPEAL. <br /> The Building Official may deny any applicant a permit who has outstanding violations <br /> that have not been corrected as of the date an additional permit is requested, or if past <br /> performance indicates a pattern of noncompliance with an applicable building <br /> ordinance. In the event the application for a permit is denied, the applicant shall be <br /> notified of such refusal in writing, and such notice shall be sent by certified mail to the <br /> applicant at the address of the applicant, as set forth in the application for a permit. <br /> The applicant shall have ten days after receipt of such notice within which to appeal the <br /> refusal. Such appeal shall be perfected by filing a written notice of appeal with the <br /> Director of Public Safety. Thereupon the applicant shall have not less than ten days <br /> notice of the date and place of the hearing. The appeal shall be heard by the Board of <br /> Building and Zoning Code Appeals or by the Board of Building Standards if such is <br /> existing at the time of the. refusal by the Building Official. The Board shall have the <br /> power after such hearing to confirm the refusal or order the permit to be issued. <br /> 1309.13 AGGREGATE FLOOR AREA. <br /> For the purposes of this chapter, the aggregate floor area shall be the sum of the gross <br /> horizontal areas at the several floors; including basements, cellars and attics that are at <br /> least fifty percent (50%) habitable. All horizontal dimensions shall be taken from the <br /> exterior faces of walls, including enclosed porches. <br /> 1309.14 COST ESTIMATES. <br /> Where the permit is based upon cost of the work done under the permit, such costs <br /> shall be the actual cost as certified by the owner or authorized representative of the <br /> owner, and' as approved by the Building Inspector. Tlie Building Inspector may, at any <br /> <br /> time. up to three months after the completion of the work, require the submission of <br /> authoritative estimates or actual cost data to substantiate the estimated cost stated in <br /> <br /> the application, and require the payment of additional fees when it is demonstrated that <br /> <br />
