Hair and Lint Catcher. The pump suction line Of the redrculating system <br /> shall be provided with a hair and lint catcher and with a vacuum gauge of <br /> such type and so located to indicate when it is necessary to clean the <br /> catcher. <br />(k) gdnkina Water. Lavatory and drinking water supplies shall be adequate in <br /> quality and quantity. <br />(I) Walks.. Each public swimming pool shall be Provided with a paved walk at <br /> least six ~:eet in width so as to completely surround the pool. Such walk <br /> shall be draihed away from the pool. <br />(m) Liahtino. Lighting for public swimmiog pools shall be adequate for the <br /> protection of the public as may be determined by the Commissioner of <br /> Building InspectiOn. All lighting and wiring shall be in accordance with the <br /> National Electrical Code and all fixtures and equipment shall be "U.L" <br /> approved. <br />(n) Hose. Hose connections and hose must be of ample size and pressure to <br /> clean all of the pool area, <br />(o) Towers and StePs. Steps and ladders must be made of an impervious <br />COrrosion resistant material, with a uniform rise not to exceed twelve <br />inches. The decks of diving towers which are over one meter high shall be <br />protected with suitable railings to prevent falling, except into the water. <br /> (p) Bathhouse and Toilet Facilities. Every public swimming pool, except those <br /> accessory to an apartment house, located within an apartment house <br /> building, Or UpOn the same lot with such building, shall be provided with <br /> Conveniently located dressing, shower, locker and toilet rooms, and if such <br /> pool is intended for simultaneous use by both sexes, separate facilities <br /> shall be provided for each sex, For the purpose of this section, it may be <br /> assumed that the maximum load shall consist Of an equal number of <br /> males and females. <br /> Sanitary fu(tures, based on maximum expected load, shall be provided as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> Z shower for :1 to 20 bathers <br /> 2 showers for Z to 50 bathers <br /> 3 showers for 1 to 100 bathers <br /> 1 shower for each additional 50 bathers over :100 <br /> <br /> Female Ware[ Closets <br /> 1 water closet for :1 to'20 bathers <br /> 2 water closets for :1 to 50 bathers <br /> 3 water closets for 1 to :[00 bathers <br /> 1 water closet for each additional 60 bathers over :100 <br /> <br /> Hale Water. Closets and Urinals <br /> :1 water closet and ~ urinal for ~ to 30 bathers <br /> 2 water closet and 2 urinals for :1 to :100 bathers <br /> 3 water closets and 3 urinals for 1 to 200 bathers <br /> :~ water closet and 1 urinal for each 150 bathers over 200 <br /> <br /> 172~..~.6 RE(~U[REr4ENTS AS TO PATRONS, <br /> (a) Baths Reauired. No person shall use or be permitted to use any public <br />swimmin <br />pool, un'less immediately before such Use he has taken a cleansing shower, using warm <br />water and soap, and thoroughfy dnsing off all soapsuds, <br /> <br /> (b) Bathers with Communicable Diseases. No person having any <br />communicable skin <br />disease, sore or inflamed eyes, cold, nasal or ear discharges, or any other <br />communicable diseases shall use or be permitted to use any public swimming pool. The <br />person in charge of the pool shall exclude therefrom any person suspected of hay ng <br />any such ailment unless and unt such Person presents a certificate from a duly <br />licensed physician stating that Such ailment is not commUnicable. <br /> <br /> (c) Sterilization of Suits and Eauipment. No person shall use or be permitted <br />to use, in any public swimming Pool, any towel, bathing suit~ trunks or any other <br />garment Which may COme in contact with the water in the pool, which has been Used by <br />any other Person, until after the article or artCes have been thorough y aundered, <br />including washing by mechanical means in water having a temperature of not less than <br />:~70 degrees Fahrenheit. <br /> <br />swi- (d) Shoes. No person shall be permitted on the deck area of any public <br /> · taming poOl within twenty feet of the main pooi while wearing any shoes Other than <br />those designed for bathing or swimming. <br /> <br /> <br />
