<br />1767.11 LIGHT AND VENTH,ATION.
<br />Every room for the slaughtering of fowl or game shall have outside IigM in the ratio of one square foot of glass for every nine
<br />square feet of floor space, and shall be adequately ventilated,
<br />1767.12 PROXIMITY TO HABTPATION OR FOOD HANDLING
<br />ESTABLISHMENT.
<br />No room less than twenty~~five feet from a place of human habitation or from a place where food is manufactured or sold shall
<br />be used for the slanghtering, flicking or dressing of any fowl or game.
<br />1767.33 SCREENS.
<br />Screens must be provided an all dears and windows opening to the outer air in each place for killing fowl or game from May 1
<br />to October 15 of each year Such screens shall be so constructed end maintained as to prevent the passage offlies,
<br />1767.14 UTENSILS AND OTHER APPARATUS.
<br />All flicking bins, tubs, kettles, bleeding funnels, tables and other apparatus, utensils or equipment used in the killing or
<br />dressing of fowl or game must be thoroughly cleaned and washed immediately after each days use and must be made of metal with
<br />smooth seams andjoints or of other impervious material approved by the official charged with the enforcement of this Sanitary Code.
<br />1767.15 RATPROOF CONSTRUCTION.
<br />Any building used £orthe killing, dressing or flicking of fowl or game shall be of mtproof constmction.
<br />1767.16 FLOORS.
<br />All floors of buildings used for the killing, dressing or flicking of fowl or game shall be of concrete or other similar smooth
<br />impervious material and slope to one or mare drains so constructed and trapped as to prevent offal or refuse fiom entering the sewer
<br />1767.17 RUBBISH AND WASTE CONTAINERS.
<br />A sufficient number of watertight, mtproof receptacles with tightly fitting covers shall be provided for holding all feathers,
<br />garbage, mbbish, offal or other waste at each place for the killing of fowl or game. No such receptacles shall be located less than 100 feet
<br />from any Residence Use District.
<br />1767.18 SEPARATION OF SLAUGHTERING PLACES FROM OTHER
<br />PLACES HOUSING ANIMALS.
<br />No building used in whale or in part for the keeping of any animal except fowl or game shall be used as a place For the killing
<br />or preparing of fowl or game for food unless such place shall be completely separated from every other part of such building by a stud or
<br />masonry partition without openings of any kind.
<br />1767.19 DISPOSAL OF REFUSE..
<br />No feathers, offal or refuse shall be suffered or permitted to pass or be removed from a place where fowl or game is killed or
<br />prepared for food iota a public sewer, nor shall such waste matter be fed to any animal or fowl.

<br />1767.20 SINKS.
<br />Every room used for the slaughtering, flicking or dressing of fowl or game shall 6e equipped with a sink properly connected to
<br />a sewer and adequately supplied with hot and cold running water
<br />1767.21 WALLS AND CEII,INGS.
<br />No room in any building shall be used as a place where fowl or game are killed unless the walls and ceilings of such room have
<br />smooth surfaces throughout and are of tight construction, free from projections and crevices, and unless such walls and ceilings are
<br />painted, whitewashed, scraped, sembbed or cleaned whenever the official charged with the enforcement of this Sanitary Code shall so
<br />order
<br />1767.22 ICEBOXES AND STORAGE PLACES.
<br />No icehox or refrigerator or other place for the storage of fowl or game shall be kept in a room which is used as a place where
<br />fowl or game are killed.
<br />1767.23 CLEANLINESS AND REPAIR.
<br />Every place where fowl or game are killed or prepared for food, all yards and appurtenances thereof, and all plumbing and
<br />drains therein or thereon shal(be maintained thoroughly clean, m good repair and free from any accumulation of Slth, garbage, rubbish
<br />or other waste.
<br />CHAPTER 1769
<br />Keeping of Animals and Fowl
<br />1769.01 CERTAIN ANIMALS PROHDIITED.
<br />Subject to the provisions of Section 1769.04, no person shall keep any bovine, sheep, goat, swine, fowl, common pigeon other
<br />than homing pigeon, rabbit or any other animal or fowl, except horses, mules, donkeys, dogs, cats and other animat and fowl of the
<br />domesticated variety, upon any premises no[ directly connected with any part of a slaughtering establishment.
<br />1769.02 PROXIMITY OF STABLES TO PLACES OF HUMAN OCCUPANCY
<br />AND FOOD.
<br />No portion of any sWCture shall be used as a place for the keeping of any horse, mule or donkey unless it be built or
<br />established at a distance of at leas[ twenty-five feet from any building used in whole or in part as a place of human habitation, or as a
<br />place where food is prepared, placed, kept or sold.
<br />1769.03 PLUMBING CONNECTIONS FOR STABLES.
<br />No portion of any strvcNre situated upon a lot which abuts upon a thoroughfare containing a City water main and a public
<br />sewer shall he used for the keeping of any horse, mule or donkey, unless the portion is provided with a floor of wood or masonry
<br />material, so constructed as to drain freely into a public sewer, and unless such s[tvemre is provided with running water
