WHEREAS, updating outmoded municipal officials' and departmental titles and <br />repealing antiquated and ineffectual language advances the health, safety, welfare, com- <br />fort and peace of the citizens of Lakewood by ensuring the Codified Ordinances are fully <br />enforceable; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the Constitution of the State of Ohio and the Ohio Re- <br />vised Code, municipalities have the power to enact laws that are for the health, safety, <br />welfare, comfort and peace of the citizens of the municipality; now, therefore <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, OHIO: <br />Section 1. Section 149.15 of the Lakewood Codified Ordinances, currently <br />reading as follows: <br />149.15 UNIFORMS FOR PARK CARETAKERS. <br />Upon requisition issued by the Park Superintendent and approved by the Mayor, <br />the Director of Finance is authorized and duetted to pay, from the funds from <br />time to time appropriated for such purpose, the cost of uniforms fot Traffic Sig- <br />nal Technicians and Unit Managers.. <br />shall be and hereby is amended to read as follows: <br />149.15 UNIFORMS FOR PUBLIC WORKS EM- <br />PLOYEES. <br />Upon requisition issued by the P-ark-SageFinteadent Drector of Public Works or <br />his or her designee and approved by the Mayor, the Director of Finance is au- <br />thorized and duetted to pay, from the funds from time to time appropriated for <br />such purpose, the cost of uniforms for <br />agars aoDlODriate employees of the Department of Public Works. <br />Section 2. Section 516.03 of the Lakewood Codified Ordinances, currently <br />reading as follows: <br />516.03 DEFINITIONS. <br />As used in this chapter certain terms aze defined as follows:. <br />(a) "Director" means the Director of Community Development for the City <br />of Lakewood. <br />(b) "Dwelling" means any building, stmcture or portion thereof which is <br />occupied as, or designed or intended for occupancy as a residence by <br />one or more families, and any vacant land which is offered for sale or <br />lease for the construction or location thereon of any such building, <br />structure ox portion thereof. <br />(c) "Family" includes a single individual. <br />(d) "Person" includes one or more individuals, corporations, partnerships, <br />associations, labor organizations, legal representatives, mutual compa- <br />
