Third Floor <br />Rooms <br />Provided that rooms with sloping ceilings shall have a clear minimum height. in <br />at least 2/3 of their area. That area with less than S feet 0 inches clear head room <br />shall not be included n the required floor area. <br />RDH 1529. 10(_b), Basementless (crawD Spaces (Amended). <br />(b) Ground surface treatment. All debris, top soil and other organic matter <br />shall be removed and the space shall be graded and drained. The ground surface <br />shall be paved with concrete having a thickness of not less than 2 inches and a <br />compressive strength at twenty-eight (28) days of not less than 3,000 psi. The- <br />vapor barrier under the concrete slab shall have a vapor permeance of no[ more <br />than I perm. Materials used for vapor barriers shall be rated in compliance with <br />ASTM E 154. <br />RDH 1547.03. Welding~Amended). <br />The technique of welding employed, the appearance of quality welds made, and <br />the methods used in corcecting defective work shall conform to the American <br />Weldurg Society Code for Welding in Building Construction, D1.0. <br />RDH IS49.02. Minimum Sizes of Doors (AmendedZ <br />At least one (I) exterior door opening shall be not less than 6 feet eight inches <br />high and 3 feet 0 inches wide. Other door openings may be not less than 6 feet 6 <br />inches high and 2 feet 6 inches wide, except that doors to bathrooms, toilet <br />compartments and clothes may have a width of not less than 2 feet 0 inches. <br />Wood exterior doors excluding garage service doors and overhead doors shall <br />be not less than 1-3/4 inches thick. Wood interior doors shall be not less than I- <br />3!8 inches thick, unless otherwise approved. <br />RDH 1SS3.02(~(i), Detached Garaees (Repealed)_ <br />Subsection 1SS3.02 (c)(i) is hereby repealed. <br />RDH 1553. 02 ~c) (ii), Detached Garaees (Amended <br />(ii) Frame garages shall be built on a concrete slab, not less than 4-inch thick, <br />reinforced with steel mesh weighing not less than 40 pounds per 100 square feet <br />or equivalent reinforcement up to a 4-inch wide curb, 8 inches above finished <br />grade to form a foundation wall. The Building Official shall determine the <br />finished grade. <br />RDH 1SS3.02 (c~(vii). Detached Gara es (Amended2 <br />(vii) Collar ties at eaves maybe 2 x 4's with maximum spacing 6 feet o.c. <br />RDH 1SS3.03. Garage Floors (Amended). <br />Garage floors shall be constructed on a naturally solid base com~se or a <br />compacted layer of not less than 4 inches of gravel, crushed stone or slag, upon <br />which shall be placed not less than 4 inches of concrete. The concrete shall have <br />a compressive strength of not less than 3,000 psi at hventy-eight (28) days or by <br />mix proportions, 1 volume of portland cement, not more than 2-112 volumes of <br />fine aggregate and 3-314 vohunes of graded coarse aggregate with not more than <br />6-1/2 gallons of water per sack of cement. The garage floor shall slope to a drain <br />unless otherwise approved by the Building Official by written notification. <br />RDH 1S6S.07, Six Inch Foundation Walls (Repealed, <br />Section 1S6S.07 is Hereby repealed. <br />
