(b) No person shall park recreational equipment as defined in Sec- <br />tion 1147.02 of the Zoning Code, on any street or highway within the <br />City for a period in excess of six consecutive hours, <br />SECTION 36. Section 353.09 Affixing the Permit, currently reading as follows: <br />353.09 AFFIXING THE PERMIT. <br />The holder of a permit issued pursuant to this chapter shall affix it to <br />the automobile described in his application, in a position on the inside <br />of the rear window so it will be plainly visible from the outside. Such <br />permit shall at all times be affixed as herein provided. <br />(Ord. 28 -68. Passed 5- 6 -68.) <br />shall be and hereby is repealed, and new Section 353.09 Displaying the Permit, of the <br />Lakewood Codified Ordinances is enacted to read as follows: <br />353.09 AFFLYING DISPLAYING THE PERMIT. <br />The holder of a permit issued pursuant to this chapter shall affix it to <br />display it in the automobile described in his/her application, in a posi- <br />tion on-of wAde -o ^6 theTear uviadew hanging from the rearview mirror <br />and with the City loo facing out, so it will be plainly visible from the <br />outside. Such permit shall at all times be affixed displayed as herein <br />provided. <br />SECTION 37. Section 335,04 Operation of Meters, currently reading as follows: <br />355.04 OPERATION OF METERS. <br />Except in a period of emergency determined by an officer of the Di- <br />visions of Fire or Police, or in compliance with the directions of a po- <br />lice officer or traffic control sign or signal, when any vehicle is parked <br />in any parking space alongside or next to which a parking meter is lo- <br />cated, the operator of such vehicle shall, upon entering the parking me- <br />ter space, immediately deposit or cause to be deposited in the meter <br />such proper coin of the United States as is required for such parking <br />meter and as is designated by proper directions on the meter, and when <br />required by the directions on the meter, the operator of such vehicle, af- <br />ter the deposit of the proper coin or coins, shall also set in operation the <br />timing mechanism on such meter in accordance with directions proper- <br />ly appearing thereon, and failure to deposit such proper coin, and to set <br />the timing mechanism in operation when so required, shalt constitute a <br />violation of this section. Upon the deposit of such coin (and the setting <br />of the timing mechanism in operation when so required) the parking <br />space may be lawfully occupied by such vehicle during the period of <br />time which has been prescribed for the part of the street in which the <br />parking space is located. Any person placing a vehicle in a parking me- <br />ter space adjacent to a meter which indicates that unused time has been <br />left in the meter by the previous occupant of the space shalt not be re- <br />quired to deposit a coin so long as his occupancy of such space does <br />not exceed the indicated unused parking time. If such vehicle remains <br />parked in any such parking space beyond the parking time limit set for <br />such parking space, and if the meter indicates such illegal parking, then <br />such vehicle shall be considered as parking overtime and beyond the <br />
