3. The Products will generate utility bill savings and other savings sufficient for the <br />customer to cover the acquisition costs of the Products within the expected lifespan of the Products, <br />and within the term of any offered financing. <br />4. All products recommended and as installed shall meet industry standards for safety and <br />shall not create a hazard. <br />SECTION 2 RESPONSIBILITIES OF EG &E <br />EG &E shall: <br />A. Consult and collaborate with local leaders in the achievement of the deliverables referred to <br />in Section 1, and provide landlord options as a significant number of homes in Lakewood are <br />rented. <br />B. Develop data mapping of the homes in Lakewood that need energy efficiency. <br />C. Manage and direct all deliverables described in Section 1. <br />D. Resolve applicable customer complaints and maintain a system to track and report customer <br />feedback. <br />E. Provide regular reports to the City documenting progress in implementing this contract. <br />F. Retain such professionals, including architects, engineers and design professionals, as are <br />necessary to prepare specifications and other data required to obtain bids, quotes or proposals for <br />design in the implementation of any deliverable arising out of Section 1. <br />G. Consider and, where feasible, utilize existing City- sponsored projects in carrying out the <br />directives of this Agreement. <br />H. Retain financial and legal advisors, as needed, to prepare contracts and financing plans for <br />any deliverable arising out of Section 1 <br />I. Provide copies of all data analysis and categorization of energy efficiency potential provided <br />to residents for each household to Lakewood. Such analysis shall include but not be limited to an <br />analysis of each Lakewood home for energy efficiency potential, mapping locations in need of <br />energy efficiency, describe in a general way what each home is most likely to need (through <br />categories; i.e. lighting and baseload improvements or building envelope improvements or both), <br />have specific addresses for energy efficiency targets, the ability to rate the energy efficiency <br />opportunity in homes (i.e. the 'confidence" that the home needs measures), and the ability to <br />potentially provide other datapoints; age of home, square footage, etc. <br />J. Identify target areas and houses with the agreement of Lakewood. Target areas or target <br />households shall not include those residents that have income of less than 80% of the area median <br />income. <br />2 <br />
