use in both mesophilic and thermophilic conditions. Results of the inspection and analysis shall be present to the Owner in report form. Only one digester may be removed from service at a time. After the first digester is cleaned, the contractor shall pump the contents of the un- cleaned digester to the cleaned digester as directed by the Owner. The cleaned digester shall be placed back in service, and an operational demonstration period of 30 days shall occur. When the cleaned digester has been in successful operation for 30 days, the City may release the second Primary Digester for cleaning. The City's existing sludge presses will not be available to the Contractor for dewatering material removed from the digester. The City will provide the following: • Secure the digester out of service and open the digester to the atmosphere. • Provide a laydown/operational area for the contractor as near the digester as reasonably possible. • Provide water for cleaning and pressing. • Accept wash water and pressate at the Primary Division Well at a flowrate not to exceed 350 gallons per minute. • Provide electric power. • Run laboratory analysis typical for land disposal. Any specialized testing or analysis required for landfill disposal shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. 4. Preconstruction Services: DB Preconstruction Stage The DB's team (inclusive of the FOR and others assigned primarily to administer the Project) will work cooperatively with the City and Criteria Engineer, and will provide (among other services) schedule development, estimate development, program verification, schematic design, design development, the DB's Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) /Fixed Price proposal, subcontractor prequalifrcation and bidding, construction documents preparation, construetability review, permits, budgeting, value engineering, and preconstruction planning throughout the preconstruction stages. CMR Preconstruction stage deliverables will include the following at each stage of preconstruction (Preliminary Design, 30 %, 60% and Design Documents) • Written review of the design documents completed to date with recommended additions and modifications. • Constructability Review • Proposed Sequence of Construction • Updated Opinion of Cost • Updated Schedule 91Pa -e
