If applicable, summarize any proposals or discussions from the past that are related to this priority. <br />I've spoken to RTA and assembled a few people to help me think through what it would look like to bring back <br />the circulator. What is clear is that fares for the circulator would need to be set below what RTA changes to get <br />the ridership levels that would justify its existence. This would make it a costly endeavor; however, it is <br />possible. It is wholly necessary that we understand the need as precisely as we can before taking on such a <br />project. <br />S. Any presentation materials for that <br />July 15th meeting must be sent to all Council members and Clerk of Council <br />no later than Friday, July 12th @ 5pm. <br />The study should also analyze access to food, medical, schools, recreation, <br />and other services located downtown and other areas that are important to <br />citizens' health and wellbeing. <br />The study might employ methods that track transit behaviors, look at where <br />people work and how they get there, and analyze changes over time of <br />transportation modes and uses. <br />005 Reso 9020 -18 -as substituted by Finance 1011118 <br />If the study is done externally, the Planning Department should oversee the <br />execution and should follow up with Clerk of Council updates regularly.
