Communication from Councilmember O'Malley regarding appointment to Lakewood <br />Community Relations Advisory Commission. (pg.89) <br />Motion by Council President O'Leary, seconded by Mr. Anderson to receive and file the <br />communication. <br />All members voting yea. Motion passed. <br />36. Communication from Councilmember Rader regarding the Lakewood Animal Safety & <br />Welfare Advisory Board 2018 Year -End Report. (to be provided) <br />Councilmember Rader thanked the members of the Lakewood Animal Safety & Welfare <br />Advisory Board for an excellent year of hard work. He invited the Board Chair Ms. Kara <br />Vlach - Lasher to address Council about the group's accomplishments in 2018 and goals for <br />2019. <br />Ms. Vlach - Lasher presented highlights from the LASWAB annual report to Council <br />including: <br />• Creating and distributing various literature <br />• Creating and overseeing installation of signs <br />• Advising the City on issues of dogs and coyotes <br />• Holding community meetings <br />• Events related to spaying and neutering Lakewood pets <br />Among many other activities. <br />President O'Leary complimented LASWAB on its great work. <br />Councilmember Rader personally thanked Ms. Vlach- Lasher for her personal leadership on <br />LASWAB. <br />
