All members voting yea. Motion passed. <br />31. Communication from Planning &Development Director Sylvester regarding Detroit & <br />Bunts Ave. Rezoning. (pg. 114) <br />At the request of the Council President, Director Sylvester clarified the timeline and future <br />steps for the proposed re -zoning. He stated his preference that the matter be referred to a <br />Council Committee following deliberation by Planning Commission and ABR. <br />Mr. Rader noted that he has received a high volume of public feedback on this project. He <br />expressed hope that the developers will take public input into consideration and tailor the <br />project to that feedback. <br />Motion by President O'Leary, seconded by Mr. Anderson to receive and file the <br />communication. <br />Tom Clynne —1269 Giel <br />Mr. Clynne expressed concern about the proposed development including increased traffic, <br />reduced property values, and the focus on rentals. He remarked that his concerns reflect those <br />of his family and many neighbors. He expressed hope that an agreeable solution can be <br />achieved. <br />Discussion: Mr. Litten urged attendees to stay a part of conversations by attending Planning <br />Commission and ABR meetings. He encouraged all to work together to come up with <br />something that benefits commercial and residential corridors. <br />President O'Leary remarked on the importance of striking the right balance for Lakewood <br />and expressed optimism that the process will ensure that. <br />Ms. George relayed concerns of residents about the size, scale, and scope of the proposed <br />development. She expressed her personal concern that the size and scale of the project is out <br />of line with a traditional Lakewood look. She encouraged residents to attend Planning <br />Commission and ABR meetings and relayed to residents that she is listening to their <br />concerns. <br />On the motion to receive and file the communication: All members voted in favor. Motion <br />passed. <br />32. Communication from City Engineer Papke regarding sewer easement at Erie Cliff Drive. <br />(pg. 116) <br />
