President O'Malley made a motion, seconded by Vice President Litten to adopt Ordinance 10- 2020. A roll call vote was taken as follows: Yeas —Bullock, Kepple, Litten, Neff, O'Malley, Rader, Shachner Nays —None Motion passed. Ordinance 10-2020 was adopted. 10. Public Works & Sustainability Committee report regarding meeting held June 8, 2020 (to be provided) Councilmember Rader requested that the item be deferred, as he plans on giving a more detailed written report at Council's next meeting. He also took time to thank participants in the meeting. He noted the presence of Diane Bickett, the executive director of the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District, and Dan Brown of Rustbelt Riders, and members of Lakewood's Public Works Department. Councilmember Rader made a motion, seconded by President O'Malley to defer. Discussion: President O'Malley thanked Public Works staff for assisting in raising the Pride flag in front of City Hall to celebrate Pride Month. He pointed to how far the city has come from 20 years ago and the controversy that resulted from its initial raising. He expressed a desire to have a resolution celebrating Pride Month in September. He invited other members to join him as co-sponsors. On the motion: A roll call vote was taken as follows: Yeas —Bullock, Kepple, Litten, Neff, O'Malley, Rader, Shachner Nays —None Motion passed.
