President O'Malley made a motion, seconded by Vice President Litten to adopt Ordinance 10- <br /> 2020. <br /> A roll call vote was taken as follows: <br /> Yeas —Bullock, Kepple, Litten, Neff, O'Malley, Rader, Shachner <br /> Nays —None <br /> Motion passed. Ordinance 10-2020 was adopted. <br /> 10. Public Works & Sustainability Committee report regarding meeting held June 8, 2020 (to <br /> be provided) <br /> Councilmember Rader requested that the item be deferred, as he plans on giving a more <br /> detailed written report at Council's next meeting. He also took time to thank participants in the <br /> meeting. He noted the presence of Diane Bickett, the executive director of the Cuyahoga <br /> County Solid Waste District, and Dan Brown of Rustbelt Riders, and members of Lakewood's <br /> Public Works Department. <br /> Councilmember Rader made a motion, seconded by President O'Malley to defer. <br /> Discussion: President O'Malley thanked Public Works staff for assisting in raising the Pride <br /> flag in front of City Hall to celebrate Pride Month. He pointed to how far the city has come <br /> from 20 years ago and the controversy that resulted from its initial raising. He expressed a <br /> desire to have a resolution celebrating Pride Month in September. He invited other members <br /> to join him as co-sponsors. <br /> On the motion: A roll call vote was taken as follows: <br /> Yeas —Bullock, Kepple, Litten, Neff, O'Malley, Rader, Shachner <br /> Nays —None <br /> Motion passed. The item was deferred. <br /> ****NEW BUSINESS**** <br /> 11. Communication from Councilmember Bullock regarding appointing a liaison to the Tree <br /> Education & Advisory Board. (pg. 17) <br /> Councilmember Bullock made a motion, seconded by President O'Malley to receive and file <br /> the communication. <br /> A roll call vote was taken as follows: <br /> Yeas—Bullock, Kepple, Litten, Neff, O'Malley, Rader, Shachner <br /> Nays —None <br />
